HI!!! I just read that Nancy Opel is going to play Mazeppa in the Encores! GYPSY. I'm so happy.
ok i need a drink anyone got some cuervo?? Just spent 30 minutes arguing with my teenager. And he thinks he has too much responsibility...UGH kids
I'll drink to that!
Hi Miss P!! I miss ya. I've been reading about you London ticket purchases. Sounds like a great trip. When are you going? I forget.
We're leaving exactly 3 weeks from today...at this very hour, in fact! I'm very excited, as you might imagine.
I miss you, too! Only two more months!!!
I'm excited for you just thinking about it. Big T and I are talking about taking a trip sometime this year. We have air miles. I'm pushing for Ireland and London. We will see what happens. Three weeks from today I will be up north at the end of a weeks vacation. It will be a good way to start the summer. I am so ready for school to be done!!
Strawberries and cream for Miss P in June.
Heppy, how did you know that is one of my all-time favorite snacks??? (In June or ANY month!)
Baddy, if you go to England with Big T, what on earth is he going to do while you're at the theatre night and day????

He can go check out the English gardens and rock walls for landscaping ideas.
And try to convert all the Church of Englanders back to Catholicism! LOL!!!
Exactly!!! I'm sure he can find a few churches to visit!! He mainly wants to go to Ireland but I wouldn't want to go that fare and be that close to London theater and not be able to see something.
"See SOMETHING"???? Don't you mean "EVERYTHING"???? (You know you do.)
Of course I do but WANT and reality are two different things! However, I can certainly dream.
Can you believe both times I've been in London I saw nothing. Not a thing.
Maybe you can force BT to go with you to some of the shows. Tell him you'll do HIS cathedrals with him by day if he does YOUR cathedrals by night.

That happens! I am trying to coax the five kids into bed! Not easy since it is the last day of school and they think it is New Year's Eve.
Miss P, that is sooooo good. He would be so happy to hear you say that theater is my cathedral because that's what he has been telling me - not so happily - for years!
It is MY house of worship.
I'm sorry you didn't see THE BIG VOICE: GOD OR MERMAN because that's one of the main premises. Theatre = Church.
I've always felt that priests or ministers are just wannabe performers. I definitely have many spiritual moments in the theater.
You know, when I first hear the chords of the opening of A Chorus Line or Les Miseables, that is a spiritual moment for me. And I'm not being judged!
Baddy, I never realized just how IRREVERENT you are!!! I like that in a person.

My wife is out of town and the dog is out of sorts, he is looking for her.
I usually do not discuss such things here, but my relationship with the church has changed much in the last ten years and more so in the last few. The church to me is its people and not dogma. I recognize the faults, but we as a family have benefited greatly.
The people is what I miss about church.
