I just got our tickets to London for August!!!! It took a great deal of mental gymnastics, too, but I wound up getting all 4 tickets for FREE! (Not counting the taxes, of course.) YAY!

How did I do that? By using my American Express card for EVERYTHING: paying the phone bill, buying groceries, filling the cars up with gas...even making charitable donations! The best part is that we're flying Virgin Atlantic.

I get many miles from my firm AmEx. That is how I bought some CO tickets.

I have an Amex. I like it. But then I use it. And need to pay it off. Get's depressing.

But everytime I use it and pay it, I rack up those points that save me THOUSANDS later. Last year, our flights would have cost us $13,000 if we actually had to pay for them. This year, not so much because we are flying economy, but still 5 grand. I'm THRILLED!

Miss P - that sounds great. We just started doing that with our GM card so in a few years when we are ready to get rid of the SUV, we will have a good chunk towards a new car.

DD - sounds like a marvelous plan to me!!!

Just got in from Pool leagues. We lost for the night, but I won my match so that's all that matters, hehe!
