I love it! That's beautiful, You!
One of these days I'll take a pic of my bistro set.

I opted for both a boxspring with the mattress rather than just the slats, so it is a bit higher, but a bit more cushy.
And, I have a big, 4 foot wide Japanese fan above the bed itself.
And with that, off to see whether or not it actually falls apart tonight! Going back to work /// Bleccch.

That bed is GORGEOUS! It must have taken foreveer. But worth it, I see.
Good luck with the storm, DD.
I hope the weather 'round here can make up its mind.

DD, I saw a perfect table and chairs for you at an antique store this weekend.
The snow is melting, but wow is this city dirty with salt.

MissP - Do you remember when this pic appeared in Life magazine?
I remember in the story they ran Paul predicted his epitaph would read "Here lies Paul Newman who died when his eyes turned brown."
He's a real hero in our family. My niece was a regular visitor to his Hole in the Wall camp in its early days. She had many stories to tell of his visits to the camp. In those early days the campers occasionally got invited to the Newman's house. They loved it all.
A click for life.

I remember when Paul and Joanne received the Kennedy Center Honors, and their honorary presentation included kids from the camp coming out and singing for them. It's one of the most beautiful moments I've ever seen - and I also remember being a blubbering mess during it!
And OH, just look at those eyes!
For Christmas, my mother gave me a book published last Fall titled "Paul Newman, A Life in Pictures." It is enthralling.

I have been 100% head-over-heels in love with Paul Newman since I was about 12. *sigh*

Erika - What pretty pictures! =) How are you feeling today?
I remember watching Cool Hand Luke in Sophomore English and all of the girls drooling over Paul. All the boys were like, he could be your dad. Not one female minded.

Ok, y'all are trying to kill me, aren't ya?
Tink - that shot of Newman/Redford was the epitome of my ideal man for YEARS - eclipsed later on only by Sam Shepard ina leather bomber jacket riding out of the mist on a horse in THE RIGHT STUFF.
Erika - isn't that the living end?!? You need to get a gander at that book I mentioned above - I'll bring it the next time I see you. We can sit and drool together.

DD: I know, right? How anyone that gorgeous can also be that talented and such a good guy is just unreal.
Tink: I'm feeling a lot better, thanks! I have to go back to the dentist tomorrow and Friday before rehearsal so he can change out the dressing, but it really helped SOOOOOOOOO much, so I don't mind.
DG: Sounds like a plan!

Posted: 2/20/07 at 11:50amDG - I was watching this movie with my Dad last year. I thought out loud saying "man, what I would give to be able to have seen them in person at that age, I would've been in love". My dad rolled his eyes and said "do you know how long I had to deal with my older sisters obsession, not my daughter too!!" But he said it was much better than most of the men I actually liked in my teenage years, so it was ok.

Tink - I won't go into what I thought about watching Butch and Sundance - let's just say I think it's a love story . . .

brd - he really is something else - and one of the reasons I'm jealous of Jessica Lange (the other being having a child with Baryshnikov!)

Shepard is extremely talented. I love "Cowboy Mouth."
DG: Wait! I was in love with Baryshnikov, too!! (Poster on my wall.) And you like Sting, right? We have the same taste, it seems. No wonder we get along.

Erika - we'd be one dangerous duo on the prowl together, but we'd cover a lot of bases! Good thing we're both happily married
