Nice to have you back.
I was actually quite crabby myself yesterday.
I still feel like poop physically, I just want this cold to go away!!!
Vitamin C. Water. And sleep.
I have to figure out what car I want to buy. I'm now fixated on this.
I went to do some car shopping this past weekend. The only car I got to actually test drive was the Saturn Aura which was quite nice actually. I have to get back to the Pontiac dealership during normal hours to drive some cars.
I'm a snob... I don't buy American cars. Back home we mostly drive Japanese and European cars, and that's pretty much all I consider.
I was just doing one of those 'payment calculators,' and I don't know why but the same car-payment gets me a lot less.
haha, don't worry I'm a snob that will only buy American and German! =)
I get so lost when it comes to the financial part of the car loan/payment. I've bought both of my cars out right so far. Hubby was trying to explain it and it hurt my head.
Tink, it took me til just now to realize your sig is from Aida. I liked that show.
It's all good. It was out during my boycott years. Got to see the Tour last month. I know the broadway version probably topped in 10x, but I thought it was vey good! *swoon* Adam!
I think this is my third sig. from that show.
Hey - did you ever get to see GG yet?

The thing with cars at this point is, you can hardly tell who owns what OR where it's manufactured!
That is a very good point DG. Esp. with Toyota just "officially" opening American headquaters/plants this past year.
Blame it on my motorsports passion - I'm still an American motors snob (GM snob to be more precise)!

For YEARS I wouldn't own anything but a big, honkin' 8-cylinder Chevy. I had a few different ones, and they ALWAYS were dependable and strong. We've had Chrysler for awhile now, and are now ready to get a Lexus. I don't care WHERE it's made - we're getting old enough to want to be COMFORTABLE
DG - you sure you are not my hubby in disguise? lol. He also has always owned big 8 cylinder GM's, and now he's all unhappy in his 6 cylinder TrailBlazer.
I love the 300M, so pretty! Ahh, Lexus, a toyota camry with a pretty Gold L on it, hehe!

Not the RX, Tink
But I'd scratch it all if Chrysler would put their new Imperial concept into production - that is SO my car!
haha, that's cool! I'm all jazzed about the new Camaro, Challenger, and the concept drawing of a new TransAm! Just when I finally got rid of all our muscle cars, I am drooling over new ones!

Tink - you and papa, Baby, you and papa! As DD and Shira can attest to, my lovely partner is OBSESSED with car design (we have upwards of 500 models at this point - and I don't mean the plastic ones you put together yourself!) SO, I have found myself going to numerous car shows throughout the year. It's been really funny watching these middle-aged men just go NUTS over the return of the 'muscle-car' theme. Add in the lovely nubile young things in leather that show them off at the car shows, and it's amazing some of them don't get arrested
I always had a thing for Corvettes myself. When I buy one I will break my American-car boycott, if you can call it that.
I am seriously considering going back to a rag top, but since I park my car on the street, not so sure about that.
I don't have a car at the moment. Living in the middle of a city, I don't feel the need.
Changing the subject for a second, I just love the penguins and polar bears around here.

Hiya, Hep Tink started it today, and I was only too happy to join in (I just love my penguins!)
I hate the fun I miss when I'm busy.
Well, you always present very fine penguins, DG.

Hard not to, Hep - they're 'practically perfect in every way'
And DD - it's never really TRULY fun until you show up.
I guess it won't look good if I start looking for a new car before my old car is declared a loss, eh?

You've got to be prepared, DD!
DD- I went to "the Drive" out in Vegas and got to take laps around the track in a Corvette & GTO. I really think that was my favorite memory of the trip. I was a wimp though and only got it to 90 on the straightaway, lol!
I've always been into the classics, but it wasn't until I met Chris and got into NASCAR that I became this obsessed. We go to car shows all the time during the summer. The Tin Man is ok in my book! Once we get a house with a drive way, we are going to buy an old clunker and start restoring (hopefully a 68 Camaro and a 69 Chevelle if I had my way)=)

So Tink, do you wear Daisy Dukes for your man?
