They're GREAT city cars, DD.
I hate those cars, lol! Well at least I hate people who drive them around here. I'm sure you'll look cute as a button in it!
When I buy American cars I always have trouble. Sticking to Hondas and Toyotas. They are wonderful.

I actually don't like them either, Tink - but they ARE great city cars. Which begs the point - what are you supposed to use for getting to all the outdoor activities you like?!?
I'm sure DD would look cute as a button in most cars.

I drove a 94 Mazda until it nearly fell apart. I am one week happy with my Ford Excape and the kids and wife love it. I know that she is itching to trade in her mini van.
Brd - So happy to hear you are enjoying the new vehicle so much!!!
Hep - What's new and exciting?
Never had a Mazda.

I had a Benz with an electric problem that cost me thousands of dollars, and every western European on the north side of Chicago that searched, never found the issue.
And those Benz are a fortune to maintain and repair. I do hate Fords. Always had trouble with them. FORD = Fix Or Repair Daily.
The only activity that would prove difficult is skiing... and I now have plenty of friends that drive 4-wheel drives or don't mind taking their 2-wheel drives up to the passes.
It's not so much that I'm considering a Mini, but that I'm considering a used one.

Dame, I hope that I do not regret my choice, at least the firm picks up repair costs.
My wife's cousin drives a mini in the North of England, but petril is $5/gallon.
I hope you don't either. At least it is not a expensive car .. so someday you can treat yourself to a nice replacement. you are a lawyer after all.
I have a friend who has an Escape and so far so good. You aren't going to be taking it off roading and stuff, so you should be ok. And this is coming from another Ford hater.
I also have a friend that has a escape and loves it. it does seem that the car is constantly getting something done. But he does love it.

We rented an Escape in Hawaii last year, and it wasn't for me - too truckish.
I was tied between the Escape and the Element. The reason I got the Element was because the guys at the Ford dealer were being real @$$holes. SO I left and bought the Element instead.
Were you happy with the Element?
I miss driving. All this car talk! But it's nice not to have to sit in traffic, pay for the car, insurance, gas, upkeep, etc.
Oh, L, you are not missing anything! lol
I loved my Element. Very practical. Not a complaint. But I've never been one to LOVE practicality. Looking for something more 'fun' this time.
L - for a few days I thought of going car-less. And if I worked in the City, it would be feasible. But because I work in the 'burbs, getting to rehearsals in the evenings would be a nightmare. I did a trip planner thing to go to my Fantasticks rehearsals, and it would take me 1 hr 45 minutes to go about 10 miles.
Not happening.
And now I'm off to start car dreaming.
A car is just not needed here in the city. But when I win the 216 mega millions lotto tonight, I will buy one :)
