DD.. what else are you considering? The mini is wonderful and the most feul economic you can find without going hybrid. By the way.. have you thought of hybrid? There is a larger selection now.

I don't want to spend a lot of money, so hybrid is out of the question.
Thinking of a used Mini or a new VW Rabbit.
Also pondering my return to a Miata, but I'm not sure how I feel about the fact that I have to park it on the street.

Huh? How much are they going for over there? They are not expensive. You just have to wait for about a month. And the Honda hybrids are fantastic.

VW = reliable car that will last a lifetime.
Mini-Cooper = an adorable novelty that you will be paranoid about leaving anywhere!!!
My neighbor has a mini and he takes it out only on special occasions and then worries about it all the time. (You know...Is someone going to scratch it, dent it or steal it?)
Plus, it's NOISY and impractical. (But it IS very, very cute! But what do you need with cute, DD? You are the personification of cute! You and that mini would cancel each other out!!!)

Do you think of me and practical at the same time? I liked my Element, but it was 'practical' and I never really LOVED it.
The VW does look really cool. But my friend has a Mini, and I've driven it, and totally love it too.
Either new VW or used Mini.
Or recovered Element.
