my vote for best parents goes to either June and Ward or Mike and Carol....those others were just awful by comparison! re: Who Were the Better Parents?

The Bradys were not such great parents - they made six kids share one bathroom!!!

Roseanne & Dan Conner would get my vote for most "realistic" parents ever portrayed on TV.

I never thought the Conners were really bad parents. They loved each other and loved their kids. They might have been a little white-trashy, but all in all, I'd choose their househole over and of those "Norman Rockwell" homes, any day of the week.

yeah, I think Roseanne was frighteningly realistic. My favorite TV family was from the Donna Reed show, though. She made a cake for dessert EVERY night!

First off, the Conner's were not "White Trash". They were far from it. They were working class americans just like my family was and we were not trash. And they were not the best parents in the world, but I'm guessing neither were any of yours. They were two people who juggled family, jobs, bills and everyday life. It's not easy and they did the best they could. That is the only show in the history of television that actually got it right. It will never happen again, either.
