No, it hit me and fell into my lap. I begged the teacher not to doanything because I didn't want the girl to get mad at me.

And now she knows she can throw stuff at you without fear of reproach!
How the HELL did you manage to avoid the nurse's office. It was a STEREO!!!

I agree with whoever said it, if she threw a boom box at you she's already pissed at you for what seems like no aparent reason.
That's the thing. She ALWAYS seems mad at me for no reason. I think its because we are both strong willed and we have "big" personalities.

What do you mean not get mad at you?
What could she do worse than throw a boom box at your head?
P.S. I was there when that girl flipped out. Not at the prom, or anything. But I remember that morning's newspaper had a front page article about a pig slaughter. They thought it was the Klan.

What are you going to do the next time she throws something at you?

I imagine an iPod would be a downgrade and a car stereo may be too heavy...
Though, if you really want to cook her goose, next time you see her you could point to a car stereo and sing, "Heavy, Heavy. It's too heavy, babe!"

Was the boom box on when she threw it? If so, what song was playing?
I guess I'm not used to physical violence. I go to an all girls school in NYC, and there is a LOT of cattiness, because it's one of 'those' schools, and we're all expected to be perfect and brilliant, which leads to a lot of emotional bullying, but hardly everanything physical.
Duck, and then break out in song, duuuuh!
But you seriously have to put her in her place, especially if she continues to chuck large, hard objects at your head.

I think I know that school. I had some friends there. Do you know Dorothy Ramsey?
Still. She threw a ****ing STEREO!!! That's not only very conspicuous and cumbersome, but INSANE. How the hell did someone not see her picking up something that huge and throwing it at your head?
Automatic grounds for suspension.

First off, physical violence belongs on the bed. And I don't mean anything less than violent, with consent, S and M.
Secondly, can you find us a picture of this boom box on amazon?
Was it Sony? Toshiba? Mitsubishi?

aspiringactress, as someone who attended (and was kicked out of..but that's another story) an all-girls school in NYC, I can safely say that some of the emotional bullying I endured there was far worse than any physical violence.

Well, physical violence is fun until someone gets hurt.
Then it's hysterical.
Except when a girl throws a boom box. She's just asking to be slapped across the face...by the police.
BSo, we don't need to know what your habits are under the covers.

Who said anything about covers?
I didn't.
Though, you bring up an interesting idea...
I was IN CLASS though, and it was a school boom box. I would say it was a foot and a half long, and probably a foot each other way
WHAT. THE. F*CK.
I think you have deeper issues than this one girl if you go to a school where NO ONE sees a girl pick up a stereo and chuck it at someone else.
Or if you just let her ****ing do it and get away with it. If you don't start standing up for yourself, your life will be a living hell. I promise.
I've been in a fair share of fight (taking in consideration of my demographic...yes I'm being utterly racist) but I've yet to chuck or have a boom box chucked at my head. Although a flying basketball coming towards your head when you're fixing your hair isn't so hot. Oh I miss middle school.
The thing is everyone saw it. And we all sort of went on with our business.
^^That sucks...in that case it's time to work in the melodrama!
I think what was most disconcerting was that it is a PERFECT example of the atmosphereof my school. We mustall be calm and collected ladies, and handle everything with grace and composure. Downtown, would you agree?

Oh I DEFINITELY agree. I think that how they expected us to act led to extreme repression of feelings which often led to passive-agressive insults and occasionally something worse.
I'm beginning to wonder if we're talking about the same school..it really wouldn't surprise me at all lol
