I begged the teacher not to doanything because I didn't want the girl to get mad at me.
Didn't that Carla(?) girl do the same thing? About a week before the school burned down?
Carla? Kailey?
Haha, just found out downtown used to go to my school! That wouldexplain why she totally gets what I mean.

Jesus Christ.
Yeah, I don't think you have to worry about her getting mad at you if she's already throwing boom boxes at your head. Might be a little late for that fear.
Besides, what else can she do besides throwing a boom box at you? That's about as bad as it gets.
I would do something about it.
You guys, I TOTALLY went to school with that girl. I think her name was Carlie.
Anyway, I was at the prom that night. It was pretty damn scary but it was so awesome when she killed the gym teacher. That bitch had it coming.
Did she go on to do Hairspray?
Wow. She's come a long way.

I can think of worse things, just hope you don't have the same cooking class.
Yeah, and I'd transfer out of her shop class if I were you.
...and look up at the prom.
Okay you guys just need to go home and watch mean girls, and get your facts straight.
On another note, there are far worse things one can do than hurl a boombox sans cooking or shop class. I'd watch your back.
God, she would have had a jump rope around her neck. Listen to me . . . if she does it again, get her in trouble. The more you let her do stuff like that, the more creative she is going to get and that may be really bad.

Hah. You guys have much more active imaginations than me.
But I agree with Spidey. If you don't head her off, she'll get steadily worse.

I know others have asked this, but how on earth did you get hit by a boombox that you claim was thrown at you and avoid serious injury? And if this happened in class, and everyone saw it, was the teacher out of the room or something????
Here's the thing. I, too, went to a private, non-religious, snooty all-girls' school (albeit in NJ, not Manhattan), and had my share of physically violent things done to me that never got reported because the other girls who witnessed it didn't care, and I was afraid of further retaliation. So I get that part. But it was mostly in middle school, not high school (what we called upper school), and it was never something like throwing a freaking BOOM-BOX at me! (It was more along the lines of getting ganged up on and pushed in a closet, etc.)
The whole story just sounds so bizarre!
Frankly, I'm surprised a concussion was avoided. JEEZ!
In all honesty it was the BIZARREST moment, and I'm not denying that. I know it sounds weird and unlikely that I didn't end up with a serious injury, but I kid you not, it happened. As far as middle vs. high school, I'm IN middle school now, not high school. And the teacher was in the room and saw it happen, and he talked to the girl after class, but I asked him not to take it to the administration, who are not very fond of me to begin with. Maybe the reason why I didn't end up with a gashor anything is that it was one of those rounded Boom Boxes (do you have any idea what I mean by that?) I did have a headache for a while, but that was about all.

aspiringactress: Oh, OK! See, now it makes sense. Seriously. Middle school is evil. I totally believe that this incident happened to you. And I do know what you mean by a rounded type boom box, so that makes sense, too.
I'm very glad you didn't get badly hurt, and I understand about not reporting it (as I mentioned, I did the same thing when I was in a similar situaiton), but really, if she ever does anything violent to you again, please do go to the administration, OK?

After thinking about it I really think that I will. I've also decided that it's not worth tyring to be her friend anymore. It's not like she will enrich my life and magically have somethingto offer than my other friends can't.
Thanks for believing me despite the wackiness. And that's pretty close to what it looked like.

Good! I'm glad you've come to that decision. You definitely don't need a negative influence like that in your life. (You mentioned she is constantly putting you down, etc.)
Go to the administration tomorrow. Let your teacher know, too, so he can back you up. They're being "fond of you" shouldn't matter one iota.
Good luck!

gee, i hope not, i mean who wouldn't want to be friends with someone who tries to do bodily harm to them?
and work on your self esteem, that fact that you had to think about this suggests that you need some help

Liar, Rath.
You have it in for the gym teacher because she's butch, but not lesbian, and turned you down.
And when you say went to school, you mean were the lunch lady.
All I remember is "Eats ****"
Sorry to hear about this incident aspiring- Middle school is hell and we've all been there. Definitely don't try to befriend this girl, not worth it. And you've had probs with the administration? That sounds familiar... :)
Good luck!!!

liotte - did you mean transpiring? (I was trying to figure out what exactly the incident could be aspiring to be.)
That girl is out of control. Deffinitely not worth it. You'll be places in a few years, she won't... well she will, just not without a straight jacket.

"Middle school is hell and we've all been there."
Do you mean "we've all been there" as in - we've all been to Middle School? Or as in we've all had a boom box chucked at our heads at some points in our life?
