Erika- I meant aspiring, as in aspiringactress's screen name. I didn't even notice that it didn't work as a sentence!
I meant that we've all been to middle school, and have had a negative experience there because that's what middle school is.

lol - that's so funny! Just goes to show what a missing comma can do!
(It didn't even occur to me that you were addressing her by name. How silly is that?)
And yep, you're sure right about middle school. Worst 4 years of my life.
OK....I understand that things can get out of control in a classroom, and weird incidents like this can happen, however, what I can't understand is the teacher agreeing not to write this student up or not reporting the incident. As a teacher, you need to write this girl up strictly to COVER YOUR ASS in case something else happens.
I would have demanded that you, aspiring, go to the nurse to be examined, and this other girl would have gone straight to guidance or "the office", simply because in our crazy litigous world, if I hadn't followed "proper protocol", I could be held responsible for what happened and what happens later. What if you really did have a concussion, and this morning you didn't wake up? I'm responsible for not sending you for proper medical diagnosis. What if this girl left this class, and comes back tomorrow with a knife to threaten or hurt other students? I am responsible for not documenting previous threatening behavior.
Sorry this incident happened, but as I teacher, I would be furious with my colleague for not reporting this to administration, no matter how much you pleaded with them not to.
Bumping this out of love for Kitz for alerting me to it, and to show you all that BWW CHAT IS AWESOME.
