Have you been to one of their live shows? :) If not, seriously, I really do dare you to go and see! haha

(not saying there aren't PLENTY of other amazing musicians/performers out there- I absolutely know there are, I'm just on a Hanson kick because I went to their concert in NYC last night, and it really WAS incredible)

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

A bit of a history lesson: Starland Vocal Band won the Best New Artist Grammy over Elvis Costello.

Because Elvis was just a flash in the pan.

Earth, Wind & Fire - Back in the 70's & early 80's
Prince - Especially before the 1999 album
Stevie Wonder - back in the early 80's
Parliament/Funkadelic - Back in the late 70's
U2 - Saw the Zoo TV Tour
James Taylor (A very cool, laid back concert under the stars)
Patti LaBelle - she tears it up every time
Pat Metheny Group - I will see them anytime!
Jamie Cullum - A very nice surprise. he is great live

I saw Prince's 1999 tour in 1984 as it were. Fantastic. The Love Sexy Tour was theatrically epic. Like a Madonna show with good guitar playing and singing in pitch! The stage was in the round and had a basketball court. Prince and the dancers arrived in a car that moved hydraulically around the circumference of the stage, headlights ablazing.

I saw U2 touring in support of Boy, October, War (multiple times), The Unforgettable Fire and How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. Each was terrific in its own way.
