Well, they're working on Rapunzel. With Kristin Chenoweth rumored to voice the long-haired heroine. It's going to be animated, but (surprise, surprise) it's CGI animation. I really want Disney to attempt The Snow Queen. It's one of those fairy tales that you can do so much with. Just watch the Hallmark movie with Bridget Fonda, for example. Also, the Emperor's New Clothes would be hysterical but it might be too risque for Disney. Then again, they don't seem to mind risque projects.

Disney already ruined The Emperors New Clothes when they made that craptastic piece of doo "The Emperors New Groove"

I seem to recall already mentioning Bridget Fonda's Snow Queen.
Honestly, I don't care of an animated film is hand-drawn or cgi as long as it's quality work. Is the story good? Are the characters likeable? Are the songs memorable? If the answer to all three of these questions is "yes" then I'm happy.

In reference to the old Disney Channel...does anyone miss that as well?
For me, the old Disney Channel is the programming in the late 80s/early 90s. I miss Lunch Box, Secret Life of Toys, Adventures in Wonderland, Dumbo's Circus and Under the Umbrella Tree.
When I was a little older, I liked their Original Movies and TV Series. The actual channel, in my opinion, has gone downhill. Oh, how I miss those days.
Anyone remember Zoog Disney?

I really enjoyed Enchanted, so not everything Disney has done recently is bad, in my opinion. I'm hoping that was their step in the right direction for more princess movies by them.

Ah, Zoog Disney. I can't recall the names of the hosts though. However, I can recall all of the old Disney channel original films. Susie Q with Amy Jo Johnson was always my favorite.

I have Susie Q on VHS around here somewhere. Lois & Clark was my favorite show in high school so I wanted to see Justin Whalin.
I watched Kids Incorporated on broadcast tv. Did it start on Disney and then go to broadcast or the other way around?

KIDS INC was on Broadcast tv? I only ever saw it on Disney channel and was in love with Ryan Lambert. I still am, actually.

I never saw it on broadcast television. My friend actually introduced me to it because she got the Disney Channel at her house. This was before it came with cable packages and you paid separately. I was always excited if we got the free weekends that turned into weeks later on.
I liked all of them, but I really liked Stacy Ferguson and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

My father wouldn't let us have cable so we didn't get to see all those 80's shows unless we were at other people's houses. Kids Inc was on every Saturday morning on one of the big three...NBC, CBS, or ABC. Don't remember which

I love all of the 90s Disney shows. Kids, Inc. was great! Although, Stacy Ferguson (aka Fergie) really annoyed me for some reason.
I thought Tony Lucca on MMC was totally hot.
I wish they would release Adventures in Wonderland on DVD.
Anyone else recall Flash Forward? Starring a young and adorable Ben Foster.

I was still young when Kids, Inc. and MMC was on, so every time it came on TV, I turned it off. I regret it to this day.

Heyyy, The Emperor's New Groove is amazing. Pure, unbridled, BRILLIANT silliness. I don't own as many Disney movies as I'd like, but that's one of the privileged few. :3
(For what it's worth, I'm 26 and I watch the Disney Channel far more than I have any reason to. If you ever feel like you think too much about trivial matters and want someone to make you feel better about yourself, ask me to share my thoughts on the episode of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody where they did A Midsummer Night's Dream.)
((I'm kinda disappointed this has descended into a real discussion. The first half of this thread was a beautiful beautiful thing and I'm proud of my small but influential contribution. :3))

The best part of this thread was when CAX said Princess Tiana (from The Princess and the Frog) would be the first African-American character that wasn't a Hyena (from The Lion King). OH MAN! There's so many things wrong with that statement. It made my day though.

I didn't watch Kids Inc at all in the 90's. By that point it had moved from syndication and onto Disney Channel where I had no access to it.

Yeah, The Emperor's New Groove is a riot!
Yzma: Tell us where the talking lhama is and we'll burn your house to the ground.
Kronk: Er, don't you mean or?
Yzma: [even more angrily] Err, tell us where the talking lhama is *or* we'll burn your house to the ground.
Chaca: Well, which is it? That sounds like a pretty crucial conjunction.
Yzma cracks me up!
