Oh, My. Why did I let LG on the computer?
She's sleeping now -- I was drunk (again), but no hangover!

Hola mojitians... new thread! How exciting.
Lovely time here in Whistler. Conditions couldn't be better, food is awesome. I pushed a little hard yesterday, and wound up bruising/spraining the medial collateral ligament on my right knee. Not terrible, was able to ski down the mountain. But taking the day off, went to the dr. just to make sure it was nothing serious. With ice and advil, should be able to swoosh again tomorrow as long as I take it easy. Yeah... that'll happen. he he
Hope everyone's having a great Sunday.

Yep, the Melbourne Theatre Company production.
Great cast. Exceptionally talented bunch. Just about perfect in every way. I just want to hug our Leaf Coneybear!

David Campbell plays Chip - probably better known in New York for his cabaret.
Marina Prior is Rona Paretti - she plays the honey-dipped sadist perfectly.
Christen O'Leary is Logainne - she played Little Sally in the MTC's Urinetown so this is not that much of a stretch.
Tim Wright plays Leaf Coneybear - a wonderful floppy puppy of naivete. I want to hug him right now.
Natalie Mendoza plays Marcy Park - she is an Old Vic actress. Sickeningly talented.
Stayed mostly to the New York script with the exception of a few local-content 'sentences.' They did add a Brokeback Mountain joke. I don't know if that has been added in New York.

Posted: 1/29/06 at 11:59pmThat is much better. I'd love to hear some of the local jokes in your production (even though I may not get them), and the brokeback mountain thing as well.

I wish I could remember all the jokes...
But, one joke centred on the word for shortness of the leg. The sentence was, "Nicole left him not because of the Scientology thing, or even because he may be gay, but because of [insert word]..."
Perhaps that wasn't one of the local jokes, after all.
The Brokeback Mountain joke was for Logainne. She says that her two fathers had taken her to Brokeback for the seventh time...one of her dads thought Jake reminded him of George Bush, her other dad thought that Heath reminded him of Dick Cheney...Logainne thought it was nice to see them screwing each other this time...
