The birthday weekend was a complete joy from beginning to end. We only left the resort once to get some take-out Thai, so other than that, we were naked in the sun or under the moon We met a wonderful man who was there for the weekend, who turned out to be a Southern Baptist youth minister - who was completely closeted. We had some great conversation - not ALL of it serious - and feel like we gave him a chance to be himself for a little while (and I'm sure we'll stay in touch.) Combine that with the fact that it was the final weekend of the US Open (tennis) - which I watched intermittantly while drinking champagne all day long - and I was pretty much in heaven!

Any good plans for the weekend? We are watching our niece the next two nights. She is adorable. Cubs tomorrow for the last time with C7 and then TEN 12 year olds for an evening party, no sleep over though.

Actually, tonight is a day off from ASU. I'm going to the yankees game- so NO MOURNING THERE!! WE'RE IN 1st PLACE BABY!!!!
