Hi hussys;
Just got back from Las Vegas to some bad news. My lovers grandpa had a heart attack and because of other complications they don't expect him to last long. Somy partner is on a flight to Indiana tomorrow morning. I feel so helpless. I don't know how to help him.

Oh, my! I hope he is okay!
I just learned that my uncle probably has about two weeks left...rather difficult to hear.
I think the best thing you can do for him DAME, is just be there, support, comfort, and love him.

Posted: 9/29/05 at 1:57amI'm sorry DAME. Just be there for him. Not much more than can be done.

Actually, the joy of leaning over the side of your bed to view your labtop from an angle and typing one-handed... though now I am up, awake, and crabby because I'm out of milk.
Morning everyone! Looks to be a cool, yet yucky and rainy day here in NYC.

Dame, sorry to hear about your partner's grandfather!!
Would it be fair to leave my family fatherless and husbandless and jump out the window because of the number on the bathroom scale this morning???

Morning all,
Sorry to hear about your grandfather in law DAME and your uncle Shira! I hope everything is ok!
brdlwyr- it's just a number, who cares? If you are happy and healthy, a couple extra pounds makes no difference. Everyone loves you just the way you are.

brd, yes, it would be rather wrong. As someone who always hates that number, you must focus on other things. Sure, I'm being TOTALLY hypocritical, but you get the gist.
Have the two longest classes ever coming up. Booo!
