Her husband died, unexpectedly and at a very (too?) young age - and she just needs to find the path that leads her to a complete experience of life again - alone. At least alone for the time being.

Interestingly, it's not all 'sweetness and light' - otherwise, I wouldn't be sitting at home when the memorial is this coming Sunday.
But, you're right. She is lucky to have people who were willing to drop everything and rally around here in this time of need.
