For you, ASU, Rent, Six Flags!!!!!
No, but the kids and we also get into a routine so that all of the various things get accomplished with the least amount of stress possible. The basketball thing is much more that I would commit to.

You forgot to add Wicked in there......
I usually have had a routine, it's kinda nice (but nervewracking at the same time) to not really have a schedule. That will change when the kids I am sitting for start school after Labor Day.
Hey DG, how's it going?

I have to ignore that. My friendly partner returns to work on Wed. and he will wonder why I am taking that afternoon off, but I am looking forward to Ben Vereen.
Dg- not much. This hurricane is really freaking me out a little. Shhhhh - Shira is asleeep.

It's going well, Liotte. We are back from the weekend getaway, and getting things ready for Robert's first day with the kids in the morning.
brd - yes, the hurricane is giving many pause for thought, I think. We have a family member and her family that got stuck on the outskirts (where they live,) so we are anxiously hoping that nothing too catastrophic occurs.

Yeah, SHHHH! I'm sleeping!
Well, in 30 minutes I'm popping a sleeping pill. Otherwise, I won't sleep (something called adrenaline...)
Tomorrow is Columbia Orientation and more advising sessions. Oh, and I'm in a dry dorm. Which means no alcohol. Which means, please send mini bottles. Oh, and some rum, and some tequila for my "virgin" margaritas. Can I get some mini bottles of pineapple rum...and, and....
*sigh* you get the point!
Off to get dressed in pajamas!

Dg - this was a weekend of work here. Cleaning, yard work, etc. My sister is in Baton Rouge which is well out of the range of danger, but of concern. Our kids begin their second week tomorrow. My wife was like June Cleaver she "put up" lasagna and prepared three days of dinners for the week.

Shira - you have no sha . . . oh, nevermind.
brd - that actually sounds like the kind of weekend that means the most to me. Time spent together dealing with the details of daily life. In the end, I think it probably counts the most - at least as concerns what we can do for each other. I will keep your sister in my thoughts. At this point, with the size of this one, I'm not sure anybody is really 'in the clear'.

Dg, thanks about my sister and her FIVE kids. She is a smart woman - how she maintains her successful career and all her crew with little help I will never know!
You are right about getting the things about the details. C7 and I fixed a lock that needed attention for months!

Perhaps your sister is smart enough to agree with Norman Thayer in ON GOLDEN POND: "What's the use of having dwarves if they don't do chores?"

What do you mean, "nevermind". Hmmmph!
By the way, Manny is safe and sound. He is keeping an eye on me!
DG, hunny, did you get the IRA list?
Off to bed!

Everyone must be gone by now... I should be in bed. Lovely day... well, I sucked at softball, but still had fun; and had a picnic before the movie (Princess Bride), but just before the movie was to start is started pouring, so we went to our friend's house to watch it instead.

Good morning mojitians. Fall has arrived in the Great Pacific Northwest, and it's not even Labor Day. Go figure.

Bush is holding a rally 3 blocks from our house in about 4 hours. I think I'm going to be sick.
