Good morning lovelies!
I was lucky enough to be at "Sweet Charity's" final performance last night. I still say it's a shame Charlotte didn't get to try it on Broadway, she had really grown in the role and her voice was grand. Oh well, she got a tremendous ovation at the end and teared up which was sweet. As a surprise, Christina Applegate, looking beautiful, appeared at the curtain call.
Anyways...how was everyone's weekend/Easter?

my easter weekend was relaxing here in the "homeland"...heading to the west end of the island later in the day and spend some time with my grandmother and some other family members i haven't seen in what is seems like forever...
i'll also be island hopping the rest of the week so you won't see me on the boards as much if at all.

Princeton - I read an account last night on the other board. I know it is business, but I found it sad for Christina. Threee of us at dinner saw it here in Chicago and we all loved it.
Thanks for the birthday wishes all. Late thirties - I just love that.
Sunny and nice here in Chi. Tomorrow 70 degrees!!!

Stopping by for a minute to say hello.
I have a busy day 'off' planned...lots of work at home, a few appointments. Life maintenance stuff. The only nice part is that I'm still in my bathrobe having another cup of coffee. I don't have to venture out in this icky rain for a while.
I'm so NOT loving the news that Robert Goulet is taking over for Daniel Davis in La Cage, by the way. I have tickets in late April to take guests and I think I may return them and try for DRS or something else. Robert Goulet just doesn't do it for me...
Happy Monday to all! Can't believe it's the last week of March. Good riddance to this winter...

Cookie! You need to start singing "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life"...
So, we have a little rain. At least it's not snow! And soon the flowers will be in full bloom... and for those of us with allergies, it's just a good excuse to carry around my pretty little embroided handkerchief!

sings with an anticipated stuffy nose (I wonder if I will sound like Kathleen Turner?)
Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life.
Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life.
Some things in life are bad,
They can really make you mad,
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle,
Don't grumble, give a whistle,
This'll help things turn out for the best.
Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life.
Always look on the right side of life.
If life seems jolly-rotten,
There's something you've forgotten,
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing!
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly, chumps,
Just purse your lips and whistle,
That's the thing!
So, always look on the bright side of death,
Just before you draw your terminal breath,
Life's a counterfeit,
And when you look at it,
Life's a laugh, and death's the joke,
It's true!
You see, it's all a show,
Keep them laughing as you go,
Just remember the last laugh is on you!
