hi brdlwyr... doing good. Getting used to EDT. My niece thought that sleeping at 8 am was too late and decided to wake me and not leave my room until I was up. Considering I went to bet at almost 3 am (midnight for me)...
Today's a fun filled day. Afternoon party with a full martini bar, then off to a dance concert of the dance company I used to dance with. Looking forward to it.
Thought of you yesterday when I was in Chicago... for an hour.

ET- sounds fun. We are off to Wicked this afternoon and then my daughter has a chorus concert tonight.
Have fun at Wicked! Hey I have a question for everyone; what do you all drive? i am considering the Lexus suv. Anyone have any opinions?
Oooh, a Lexus is a great choice Smooch#2
I just have a Chevy Tracker, but I love the little thing
I have only ever had american cars. But I want to try something different now.

My firm car is a hand me down Mazda and I am sure that you do not want my wife's mini van!!!!
Stopped by the office which is 3 minute walk to the the theatre.
brdlwyr... can't wait to hear what you thought of Wicked... it's going to be in Seattle in Sept. 06... do I wait until then or see it in DC over X-mas or go to NYC with my sister in Jan for my b-day... decisions, decisions...
DAME, love, love, love the all the Lexus suvs. I actually have never had an american car. If I could afford it, I'd love a lexus suv. I just bought a Honda Element, I love it. I test drove practically all the small suvs, and that's the one I liked the most.
Diva... I drove a '95 Chevy Tracker for almost 8 years. Loved it. I actually had a hard time parting with it.
Dance concert was ok... lovely to see my old friends and catch up. I miss it here.
brdlwyr, I want a wicked review! What did you think?
I saw all shook up tonight, I still think it's a cute and fun show.
Yankees game tomorrow with 25 7th graders, and it's Bat Day. Wish me luck!
liotte... welcome back from FL. How's the sunburn?
thanks! sunburn turned into a nice golden tan, I'm quite content! I miss the FL sunshine though, it's cold and rainy in NYC. Tico, this must be like what you have in the NW all the time!
Actually my sister and I are joking about that (I'm in DC right now). I got here yesterday and it's been cool and rainy. Totally brought the wrong clothes. And Seattle is in the 70s, sunny and warm. Go figure!
morning hussys.
Morning!
There is something going on today where I live called "Blessing Of The Bikers" so our whole town is swarming with motorcycles.
I wonder how much trouble I can get into today.....
Diva..... You? Trouble??? NEVER!!

We loved Wicked. I put a few thoughts on the main board on a thread: Did Anyone See Wicked Last Night?
Hey, people!
How are things in Mojitoland?
I'm so sad to go back to work tomorrow. Officially I worked today, but taking youth group to the yankees game wasn't too bad...and they behaved themselves with the bats too, thank goodness. Tomorrow is back to the office, *sigh*.

GH - we have been looking for you. How are you?
How are classes???
Liotte - sorry about work, yes it does suck.
Yes, I'm back.
I've been busy with essays. Last week my body decided to shut down far a while. That was fun when I had a bit of work to do. But, it also meant that I wasn't really up for joining the party at BWW. I missed you all. *sniff*

Well, GH - I hope that you are better. What were the subjects of your essays??
One essay on appropriation in Spike Lee's 'Do the Right Thing' and one on ritual feasting in Mycenaean culture and with the Cult of Demeter in Classical Corinth. How's that?!

Many years ago my wife and I were on the "L" with Spike Lee.
The "L" is the Chicago subway?
