Everyone is beautiful at the ballet...
Can I join you... I haven't been to the ballet in ages...

Bye, Kansas! Take care of yourself!
GH, that picture is STUNNING! I would LOVE to go to the ballet with you tonight!
(except that I'm going to the theatre - Glengarry Glen Ross)
DD, I agree! Everything, to me, is beautiful at the ballet!

Posted: 6/9/05 at 6:22pmI so 'envy' (though that sounds negative and I don't mean it in a negative way at all) your life of going to the theater and seeing all these shows, and meeting people... living such a cosmopolitan life. One day, hopefully soon, I shall be doing some of it myself... in the meantime, I live vicariously through you.

#8334Who needs a Mojito time?
Posted: 6/9/05 at 6:26pmI hate to admit that I've never been to a ballet... I'm sure Glebb was aghast when I told him that...

DD - I totally agree with you... the lives led on here are like some kind of cosmopolitan fairy tale... I live vicariously through everyone in here...
That said, y'all can have the ballet... I'd rather my music have words attached...

I consider myself to be reasonably cultured, but I also know I'd have trouble concentrating on the "art" if there were a bunch of cute guys in white tights dancing around in front of me... I get distracted easily...

Yay... it'll be such fun!
C'mon OTA, the company will make up for however bored you'll be at the ballet.
I'll admit that even though I'm a former dancer, and love the ballet, I have a hard time with full length ballets myself. I rather go when they're doing different pieces of various ballets.
And since we're admitting things... I've never been to the opera. There. I said it.

Well, DD, this program is a selection of choreography from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, that highlights the joys of clean lines and the tutu.
It's not one, long ballet.

Uh oh, doesn't sound good brdlwyr! What can we do to cheer you up?
Just got home from ASU, such a fun show! 3 of the leads in the show greeted me by name when I said hi at the stage door, I think that's a sign I go see it too much. I'll take a break next week (well, I'll be in CA), and I'm going back the week afterwards :)
