But why should he be thinking anything? Maybe he just isn't. Maybe it was just a booty call. Maybe you wont hear from him till it is time for another booty call. And maybe he is just ok with that. Are you?

"What I'm saying is - and this is not a come-on in any way, shape or form - is that men and women can't be friends because the sex part always gets in the way."

If this goes for men and women, it most certainly goes for men who have had a relationship with each other. You just can't be friends with ex lovers of any sort.

I am sorry you are going through this. I hope it gets better!

Well, it sounds like a dicey situation, but I have had my head messed with in a similar kind of way and I withdrew from the person concerned until I was absolutely sure of how I felt, which is why I said that in the earlier post. So it could be something like that. You don't know. Give it some more time. It sucks, but there you are. And you can be bitchy on here and take out your problems all you like. God knows the rest of us are and do Who needs a Mojito time?.

Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

Well, I wish there were some really good blanket advice that could be given in a situation like that.
I am undergoing a similar (but not quite) situation. IT's really difficult, especially when you don't know where you stand on any given day.

oh, office update. now even hotmail seems to be unable to connect...I hope they don't have some kind of artifically intelligent blocker that is finding new mail websites and blocking them as you go to them. So odd...yet still, other websites which shouldn't be allowed are easy to access.

Marquie;
Just maybe ( and I am not saying it was) it was a booty call to him.

He asked? Well, there's your one big mistake. :)
I have learned VERY quickly that boys are, if anything, the same no matter which sex they prefer. They want to have a little fun and move on before any kind of real emotions set in.
I even have a friend who's sort of like that. He's not really into a relationship thing. Of course, he just met someone who knocked him off his feet and I am very glad. I only hope this new guy actually effects change as opposed to just creating a temporary thing in the friend before he reverts to his old ways.

Oh, and Shira...yes, for some reason, I can login here but not for e-mail. Thank god my phone checks e-mail.

Marquise--you kind of knew this was going to happen when you started seeing him again, didn't you? At least you were concerned that it MIGHT happen.

You might be wrong--his not returning the phone call might be about HIM not you, some complication in his life that has nothing to do with you.

If it is about you, though--if he really just got back in touch with you so that he could make you a sexual conquest all over again--well, then, that says something about his integrity, doesn't it?

Do you really want someone who would do that to you in your life at all? As anything more than an old friend? As anything more than a f**k buddy? Dame is right: If he treats people like that, you have to lower your expectations of him. Make HIM the f**k buddy. Or a coffee buddy. Or cut him off altogether.

Meanwhile, when are you FINALLY going to let me introduce you to my friend David, the lawyer in South Beach? Now there's a man with integrity...

(of course, Addy isn't exactly in a position to be handing out advice these days...)

Marquise, don't ask me... I am, apparently, a failure when it comes to matters of the heart.
