Oh, liotte...
A dual city hopeful.
Hey, I got to see Wicked twice last time I was in Chicago because of the lottery! Maybe my luck has just moved 1000 miles west.
GH - I had to ask if it was sarcasm, because some people would say that spending a day hanging out and shopping is a waste of time.
As for happy hour -- actually I had some wine on an empty stomach and spent a 1/2 hour in front of the freezer. Kicks in real quick!
Showing a friend around your hometown is never a waste of time...
Considering all of LA is one big shopping mall, you are quite right GH.
Tomorrow we're heading to the zoo!

Now, now Shira - need I make a list of alternatives to shopping?
Like, there's other things to do? No WAY!

liotte - that WAS the original idea - but unfortunately, everyone ELSE will be going there as well.
I considered it, actually. But in the summer, one of the last few weekends before school starts? Way too intense for me.
Yes, I suppose that's a good point. Those fastpasses are great though, I went on Space Mountain 7 times last time I was at Disney. (Go figure, bet you all are shocked)
I'm going to Six Flags a couple more times this summer, but I try to avoid weekends.
But hell, I live in NYC not too far from Times Square. I practically live in our version of Disneyland!
Fastpasses rock -- and Space Mountain. I haven't been on it in years, since they've been doing construction forever.
Yeah, they were doing construction on it in Feb when I was there (and on Splash Mountain too). I was at Disney in FL at the end of April.

Fastpass is our friend Did you go on Space Mountain after it had re-openned? It's much darker inside now - you really can't see much of anything. Makes it a little more exciting.
I must go -- I don't know when I'll be back in LA, but I'll have to make time!
I want to come shira! Let's take a road trip after you move to NY!

Oh my - please be sure to warn the country before you head out!
Liotte -- sure, we should totally do that! Uh, as for when...I'm planning for 2008!
DG -- Warn the country? My my, what do you think of us? We'll be the girls in a car driving down route 66 blasting showtunes. Very fearful, indeed!

I was thinking of that, yes. I own it, but it got scratched up. I should send it back to MGM. I'm sure I'll do that before I'm 30.
Ah, another movie I haven't seen yet (sorry DAME).
Yeah, 2008 works for me!!
I'm worried- I just bought a ticket to Standing Ovations for Sunday Oct 16, and I'm worried that it's going to conflict with Yankees playoff games..... I can't plan far enough in advance for anything!!!
Liotte -- I call your Standing O ticket if you can't go!
When I get to NYC, we'll watch "Thelma and Louise" - sound good?

It sounds to me like you two could have MANY good times seeing movies you haven't seen!
Sounds good Shira! The weekend you get to town, I have Yankees tix for Friday and Sunday, Rent on Saturday, and Six Flags on Monday. Maybe Tuesday Aug 30?
My horoscope: Stamina is key at this moment. The end is almost in sight, and all you have to do is keep up the pace that you've currently got going. Remember the little engine that could: 'I know I can, I know I can.'
As someone who works with children, the correct lines in the book are "I think I can, I think I can".
In my life now, this is saying- I think I can win the wicked lotto, but my stamina to keep going down to try is running low. But I know I can win it and I will one of these days! (or months)
