Just for perspective does anyone know what Joy and Elizabeth make? I thought Rosie got 3 million, I may be wrong.

I'm not sure what Rosie made for the year she was on the show, but when her representatives were negotiating a new contract, she asked for $10 million dollars for a one year extension.

ABC's counter offer? A three year contract for $6 million dollars ($2 million a year.)

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Oh please. The publicity today was entirely gag-inducing. Whoopi Goldberg announcing "...we can have those discussions and do it in a way peop;le can talk ... sometimes you get excited, but you move on ... you don't harbor any ill will..." So now our iconoclastic bad girl is being hired by DISNEY to bring "civility" back to daytime? Oh, gee. Let the sparks (yawn) begin.

And did anyone notice in the NY Times coverage the use of hype never proven true? How "Ms. Hasselbeck was at times driven by Ms. O'Donnell to the brink of tears on camera..." I never saw that. I saw Elizabeth pout, almost foam at the mouth, but hardly "near tears." Whatever anyone thinks of Rosie, she was one woman among four, and the ex-Survivor star could certainly hold her own without being "on the brink of tears."

We can the kinder, gentler Whoopi, the new and improved "no grudges, no raisved voices" to compliment the finger-wagging meta-Mama, Barbara Walters. Oh, what exciting TV it will be.

I'd also like to see another 'color' represented on this show. They've never had a permanent panelist that was of Latin descent. And if you could combine that with journalistic abilities, I think that would be terrific.

Soledad O'Brien, anybody?

Well...she headlined a Women of Color in the Media panel a couple of years ago in Miami. I just assumed the color was Cafe Con Leche.

Perhaps she Sephardic.
