It is VERY important that Obama supporters take the victory with graciousness and respect. Obama NEEDS Hillary supporters and everytime someone continues the trashtalking, it puts people off.
Think about how you would feel if this was reversed?
Getting to unity is going to take the work of BOTH Hillary supporters and Obama supporters.

I'm there, baby--I said my nice things about Hillary...I was fully prepared to be the one to have to take one for the team--I really thought Hillary was going to bury him.
But she didn't and I'm trying to be a good "winner," even though it has nothing to do with me and what has been "won" is still unclear. :)

When I chose to vote for Obama, I was certainly fine with the fact that Hillary was probably the nominee. For a number of reasons (electability, forward-looking, the complete disaster the Clinton White House was for gays and lesbians), I chose to support him. But I would have been fine had she been the nominee. At the time.
But the tone of her campaign took on such an odious, race-baiting turn that it completely put me off to her. So...had she secured the nomination in February, I would not have batted an eye. But now? I would have been repulsed.

Let's just start being positive about Obama and negative about McCain. If Hillary's out, it does no good to stir all that up.

Nope. I just would have been repulsed. And since I'm a New Yorker, I might have considered voting Green Party, as it would have meant nothing except to my conscience.
I don't believe in abstaining. It's wholly un-American. But the real insanity lies in voting for McCain over either one of the Democratic candidates. I mean. No logic whatsoever.

I actually feel a certain amount of resentment toward Obama because of the way YOU have acted toward me on this board.
Find one post where I have personally insulted YOU and let's compare it to the amount of unsolicited insults you have thrown at me, like the one above.
