According to Wikipedia..

The color pink also has an association with female genitalia. Used as a slang term to refer to female genitalia.

In the interest of fairness that is only one of the illustrations under the subheading "Pink in gender and sexuality"

How did this turn into a thread about proms and the Duff sisters? My question had to do with all the negative connotations that are being described as part of a "Pink Posse" or "Pink Pod People". There is just some real hatred for pink around here that really has nothing to do with the shade, if you know what I mean?

I love pink. It's soft, feminine and sweet. Just because I embrace being a woman and like to put on some makeup every once in a while doesn't mean I can't also be intelligent. I don't associate the color pink with "ditzy" girls. That's like hating green because Hitler wore it. C'mon, people.

I've always loved pink, but I'm kind of a girly girl though. Everyone always called me Pinky growing up bc there was always one other girl in my classes with my name. So, it stuck...20 years later!!!

I know some people don't like pink bc it's associated with some sororities.
