This reminds me of how many people reacted to BABEL. After walking out of one of the best films of the year with some profoundly interesting things to say about human communication barriers, all people could talk about was "OMG! A 15 YR OLD BOY MASTURBIZZATED!" or "OMG! I SAW DAT JAPANESE GIRL'Z SNATCHY WATCHY!"

well, now i've GOT to go see BABEL.

and just for those who STILL don't get it ... the united states of america is NOT a christian nation. the founders specifically separated religion from the government so the kind of witch-hunts that were going on in the colonies could not continue.

The United States is not a Christian nation despite having a majority of Christian leaders. However its current leaders seem to be steering the country in that direction. What made USA great was that outright separation of church and state. However, with those lines getting blurred, we get accused of crusading to defeat muslims, etc. Not everyone in the country has similar beliefs. Each one should respect other people's different beliefs and allow them a certain amount of freedom to exercise those beliefs.
