Ok, I'll start.
Not a real "looker", but has he EVER worn pants?
one of my favorite sculptures ... musee d'orsay, paris
thank you, SSW ... i only have pix of the two outside davids ...
When I went to Italy I was surrounded by naked men (sculptures and paintings) and I was perfectly fine, (thoroughly enjoyed it actually) but then, I'm mostly German, so it might be different in Farmtown, Indiana.
Where and how you are raised is a big factor.
I've always wondered, what is David holding so dashingly over his shoulder?
There are a few theories as to what it is:
1. It's part of his sling which he'll use to launch the rock he's holding in his other hand at Goliath.
2. If you look at this as AFTER he has thrown the rock, than he's probably relaxing with his sling over his shoulder, however in this case, that makes the object he's holding in his other hand less identifiable.

It all goes back to the Pilgrims, I think. America is extremely religious, founded on the basis of being God's chosen land. When you look at the numbers, America is much more conservative not only in terms of strictly religious matters (belief in God, church attendance) but also in social matters like abortion, GLBT rights, and capital punishment than other wealthy, developed Western nations.
Since I'm not religious (at least not in any organized sense), the notion that a flash of a nipple that lasted a nanosecond will ruin a child for life makes me want to bang my head against a wall. What gets me is that all the "outraged" parents and crusaders for moral purity continued to play the tape over and over and over for months at a time. Chances are, if a kid *did* happen to see it, it was on one of the seventy billion replays we saw in the months following the whole mess.
Ewan MacGregor did an interview recently where he hilariously was asked why the Brits and Europeans are more apt to show the dangle than the Americans, to which he replied, "Because American men don't have penises."
Ewan is great. I'm always happy to see his dangle show up time and time again, in film after film. It's really quite the beautiful dangle.

Seeing a naked, thin man or woman will make overweight people jealous and start thinking less of themselves. Seeing an overweight man or woman with fat rolls will make overweight and thin people alike throw up in their mouths.
What would "we" do without you there to protect us?

Because Lord knows I need to hump anything walking by the moment I see an artistic nude...
So much for His granting free will and self-control and all that fun stuff.

This reminds me of how many people reacted to BABEL. After walking out of one of the best films of the year with some profoundly interesting things to say about human communication barriers, all people could talk about was "OMG! A 15 YR OLD BOY MASTURBIZZATED!" or "OMG! I SAW DAT JAPANESE GIRL'Z SNATCHY WATCHY!"
