Obviously you won't hear about recommending AIDS for population control in the mainstream media.
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) recently rallied around the birth of the 6 billionth person on earth at a news conference in Brussels, Belgium. The population organization intended to use the momentous occasion to further its efforts toward population control—specifically focusing on Africa.
But at the Brussels briefing, demographer and former UNFPA representative Jan Fransen made an off-handed joke suggesting that the large number of Africans dying from AIDS had helped population control efforts. Fransen noted three ways by which population growth could be stemmed in Africa. The first, he claimed, was to “increase mortality.” Get it? Create more deaths. He then lightheartedly reminded the audience that no politician could campaign on such a platform.

Goth, you are a strong believer of throwing out the bathwater with the baby.
As a typical republican you hate the UN.
It would be ridiculous for the US to "ditch" the UN based on one mans stupid comment.......no matter how much you republicans would like to do so.
You find one small thing, and then try to blow-up to make it the MAIN focus of whatever group you are against.
And that's ridiculous
*agrees wholeheartedly with Elphaba*
What about the stupid little jokes YOUR President made, Goth? I can remember all the press about the joke about weapons in Iraq...
