Wicked on repeat

If you were forced to listen to one Wicked song on repeat all day, what would it be? (killing yourself is not an option, nor is paying someone else to do it)

re: Wicked on repeat

Defying Gravity. I really like that song for some reason.

re: Wicked on repeat

This would be unconstitutional.
"One no longer loves one's insight enough once one communicates it."

The opposite of creation isn't war, it's stagnation.

re: Wicked on repeat

Hmmm tough one...

"Defying Gravity" or "For Good"

"As Long As You're Mine"
"Applause begets applause in the theatre, as laughter begets laughter and tears beget tears." CLAYTON HAMILTON, "Theory of the Theatre" "I think theater ought to be theatrical ... you know, shuffling the pack in different ways so that it's -- there's always some kind of ambush involved in the experience. You're being ambushed by an unexpected word, or by an elephant falling out of the cupboard, whatever it is." TOM STOPPARD

re: Wicked on repeat

I like chopping veggies to "What is this Feeling"
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien

re: Wicked on repeat

Hmmm..."No Good Deed"
And hang on, when did you win the discus?

re: Wicked on repeat

Defying Gravity because i like the song anyways, and/or For Good because it is a very umm quiet song so it would just end up as white noise.
"Chicago is it's own incredible theater town right there smack down in the middle of the heartland. What a great city! I can see why Oprah likes to live there!" - Dee Hoty :-D

re: Wicked on repeat

Well, I really like JLT's version of Popular, but I would probably opt for (if it had to be the cast recording):

Thank Goodness...I thoroughly enjoy that song.

re: Wicked on repeat

Either "No Good Deed" or "Defying Gravity"
I have my books and my poetry to protect me...

re: Wicked on repeat

"No One Mourns the Wicked."

re: Wicked on repeat

"Something Bad." I know; WHAT!?!? It's because I can tune that song out really easily.
Does that count? Am I allowed to tune it out? 'Cause if not, there'll be some trouble up in here...

re: Wicked on repeat

I can't stand "Something Bad." May it rot in the fiery bowels of hell.

re: Wicked on repeat

I would choose "No Good Deed". I really like that song.
"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."

re: Wicked on repeat

Hey, I never said I did! I just said it was easy to tune out.

Besides, when the goat man (Dr. Dillamond?) goes "Something Baaaaaaad", that's just crazy kewl. It's the one thing in the show I can actually sing.

re: Wicked on repeat

Another Matt_G imposter? I thought the real thing would try to get around the no suicide rule for sure...

I would pick No One Mourns the Wicked or Thank Goodness.

re: Wicked on repeat

Delhie- I'm almost certain you could sing "What is This Feeling?" with me. I'll even let you choose who you want to be, The Sparkley One or the Mean, Green One.

re: Wicked on repeat

I'll be Galinda. I'm much more like Galinda, aren't I? No, I'm not. But I'm not Elphaba either. Damn.

And Matt_G, I thought you were above this!

re: Wicked on repeat

What you guys don't realize and I'm accused all the time for it, is that I don't HATE that show. I hate it's followers.
The book has major problems and the score is mediocre, but there are still a handful of songs I enjoy. Hell, they're right there in my iPod.

re: Wicked on repeat

does anyone else feel bad for the guy who plays Dr. Dilliamond? He will forever be known as the guy who has the horrible song in the "hit broadway show" WICKED. In conversation,
"Oh you were in the OBC of WICKED, who'd you play?..."
"ummm... *mumbles* ..amond"...
"Who?"
"Dillamond"
"Oh!... oooh..."
*awkward pause*
Though scattered and divided we are still its heart...AIDA SEPTEMBER 5th, 2004...one more longing backward glance... I AM NOW "TGIF!"

*jealousy oozing from pores at the sound of Matt having an iPod.*

re: Wicked on repeat

Matt_G, you've come out of the broom closet. I am so happy for you.

re: Wicked on repeat

"Dancing Through Life." Call me a nerd, but it's my favorite song in the show. I know it's overly cheesey, but somehow...it's my favorite song...
