Will Woody's name hurt this show?

No and No. He's had over twenty projects since his split from Mia, many of them quite successful - including plays on the New York stage such as Writer's Block and A Second-hand Memory. I don't see this one as going down in flames when the others didn't.

I'm not sure but although the Farrows reacted strongly to Allen's De Mille award, I'm not sure they've ever publicly badmouthed, let alone sabotaged, any Allen movie. If I'm right, I doubt they would do anything to publicly stand in the way of Bullets the musical being a success. I would also think that, being smart people and pros, would let their personal outrage about Allen, the man, cause her to try to do any harm to the hundreds of other people involved in Bullets. There's clearly a diff., in appropriateness and consequences, between publicly objecting to Woody Allen getting a lifetime achievement award and publicly objecting to a play or movie by Woody Allen. Moreover, I don't think the Farrows could hurt the show if she wanted to try to hurt it.

Having said that, I wouldn't look for Mia and Ronan on opening night.
