Will Smith smacks a Ukrainian Reporter for kissing him

Judging by the video, it looks to me like the guy was just trying to do the European double cheek kiss and accidentally touched his lips. Some people seem to think the reporter was just trying to wind him up. What do you think of Will's reaction?

It still looks to me like Will Smith's reaction was over the top - which sounds like it was the reporter's objective, but still. I dunno, though, I'm not a homophobe/closet case so I can't ever conceive or a reaction like Smith's.

I'm gay and if I were in Will's shoes I would have re-acted the same way. The reporter was disrespectful. It's one thing to give someone a hug but to go ahead and try to kiss him on the lips, c'mon now that's just downright disrespectful.

And from my POV it looks to me that he tried to kiss him on the lips.

Agree. It was inappropriate. Nobody has the right to reach out and try to kiss/hug/accost someone without their permission.

I'm gay and I would have reacted as Will did. There's no hugging and kissing allowed unless I know you or indicate, very clearly, that I want you to. I would have reacted that way for a a man or a woman. It's not about phobia or even sexuality. It's about uninvited intimacy.

Yeah, I don't think that Smith should have actually hit him, but on the spur of the moment I guess you can react to these things without thinking.

Either way, I don't think it was unreasonable at all for him to to defend himself from what was essentially sexual harassment.
