as far as this time, she couldn't undercut the nominee, she'd have been a pariah in the party.

Hillary Clinton has hawkishly worked to the right in her campaign and time in congress. She voted for that Lieberman Iran bill and could have just skipped it. She has voted the same way as Obama and Pelosi. All are against impeachment. Hillary skipped the FISA vote back in February. She just didn't care, and she is not liberal. Nor is Barrack.

This vote was very suspicious in my opinion. You say "she couldn't undercut the nominee" which she did with the vote. I imagined she was just going to fall in line. Her vote didn't matter either way in this case but she took a stand different than Obama.

I can’t damn her if she does, because this was bold. She is positioning herself for something. I think the constitution is more important than anything so I like her vote. But I wonder why, this why now?

Ed Morrissey wrote about her votes yesterday on the Free Republic:

"Originally, both Hillary and Obama voted for cloture. However, Hillary changed her vote before the tally closed, opposing cloture and supporting a filibuster. A little later, she voted against the FISA reform — only one of 28 votes against — while Obama voted for its passage."

Because a yea vote on FISA reform = Sword of Damocles in 2010 when she runs for Gov of NY.
