Night!
I just remembered something..
Doesn't "guten morgan" mean "good morning"?
Broadway Legend Joined: 8/25/04
Guten Morgen = Good Morning
and good night to you too!
It's "Guten Morgen"... and "Good Night" is "Gute Nacht"!
I have to admit I'm a little tired from answering all those questions... but it's FUN!!!

I thought good night in French was "Bon Soir" or something to that effect.

"Bon Soir" is like "Good Day", "Hello" or something like it
Maybe we should start teaching some German to the other members of this board!

Haven't we already tried this by talking German in here? *lol* But, why not, if people are interested in it....
I don't think they are... LOL!
I just went to www.french-at-a-touch.com and it said that "Bon Soir" means "Good Evening." I didn't see "Bonne Nuit" though. Not that I'm doubting you guys... :)

neither do I. The board is not meant THAT educational , and German is supposedly too tough to learn just along the way. Or so people say. One never knows...
Edit: you're right and we are still right *lol* Bon soir may mean Good evening, and Bonne nuit can still mean Good Night, since there is a difference between these two

Oh, I've never had French in class... I chose Latin instead!
I chose spanish, but I had some friend's in french. I picked up some stuff.
I just can't spell it.
I know you shouldn't say "adieu" unless you're never going to see them again.
I could teach you some Spanish, if you want. I'm not fluent anymore, but I still remember some.
