Glebb, think of it as a New Yorker, having to get excited about riding the Staten Island Fairy to look at the Statue of Liberty (something I still like to do...)

@Glebb: You didn't miss anything in Frankfurt. In my opinion one of the ugliest cities in Germany!

Welcome back, Guy from Germany
I must admit, when I was the last (and for the first time) in the US and in New York, I was far too young to attend shows there, but I stíll recall the marquise of the "Show Boat" revival. Well, sooner or later...

Exactly...you'll get back there and do some catching up!
Ha ha Yessica! I lived in Manhattan for 13 years and did that one time. :)
Guy - I really want to go to Stuttgart the most to visit my friend Georgette Tsinguirides. She danced in the company long ago and is responsible for all of the great Cranko ballets. She is getting old and when she is gone all that is great about his ballets may die with her. She notated them all in Bennesh Notation but she knows so much more than can be put on paper. I miss her so much.
I actually have relatives in NY... and I still haven't been there.
Something's wrong with me!

Glebb - How did you like Istanbul?
I used to live there for 5 years (though it's 9 years ago)
Yes Jessica, and Mr. Franklin, I saw that Showboat revival too. It had a lot going for it but I was not thrilled by it.
Guy - get to NY!
What do you think of Dresden and have you heard of Bill Forseyth?

Never been and no. Man, kinda pitiful, haven't really seen all that much in my own country (but I have been all over the US )
Wow! You guys have seen quite a bit of the world...
This thread makes me much too jealous!
Dresden is sooo nice. But I haven't heard of Bill F.
M. Berger - I loved Istanbul.
It's a great cosmopolitan city.
I enjoyed Ephesus more because of the ruins but Turkey was a good experience for me.

Don't be jeaulous, since you're a student, I'm guessing you're still pretty young and have tons of time... you'll get your turn!

He is well known, Glebb, but didn't have a chance yet, to attend a performance there.
As is the Berlin Ballet master Vladimir Malakhov by the way.
Well, I'm a student of ART HISTORY... so I'll probably be unemployed in a few years!
Ahaha, just kidding... hopefully...
Bill was an apprentice for Joffrey Ballet (where I've had my career) but never made it into the company as a full member. He left for Germany and made an enormous name for himself in the ballet world.

How come you didn't head for musical theatre, Guy from Germany? or has it never been an option?
Guy - as an Art History student you must travel and see the great art of the world! :)
I'll be in Stuttgart in July for an audition at the local acting school...
Hey, is that you in your avatar,Yessica?
