That's because we're such incredibly interesting people!

And who started all that? *lol* Just kidding...
I'm absolutely amazed, too - but I think it's wonderful...
But where did the other people go?
This thread was long overdue!
EDIT: Oh, Berger's back. *g*

So what shows in Germany have you been seeing lately, Guy from Germany?

I hope you feed the black sheep well
I'll stop learning now and write a new scene...

My theatre did a WONDERFUL production of "The Spitfire Grill". Lovely, really!
And I saw the Stage Entertainment "Best of Musical"-tour in Frankfurt... Nothing really special lately. And you?
EDIT: Uh, I'm an "Understudy"... Go me!

I saw "Robin Hood" in march.
Tow or three days ago I saw Cats in german.
Today, as I allready told you, I#m going to see a tour production of "My fair lady" with Illya Richter and Gunter Emmerlich *lol*
That sounds... a little scary!

Oh I read about this Spitfire Grill production as a matter of fact, it was in that "musical magazine" and they praised it a lot, saying they had thought about not putting in into the "amateur" catagory but rather the professional, for it was so delightfully executed. Well done then

Gunter Emmerlich as Doolittle will be blast and a ball, to say it with DRS. Pity that on Broadway it never was a farce like with these two actors in Germany *lol*

Ahh, re-edit: Talking of me: I saw Robin Hood as well in Munich, lately been seing a collage of musicals and other stuff by the UdK Berlin students. Before I saw La Cage in Freiburg and Me and my Girl (a fabulous production of it) in Dessau. Updated On: 5/28/06 at 08:49 AM
I've seen more plays lately...
Two really exciting productions of "Steine in den Taschen" and "Die Grönholm-Methode".

The theatre in Gießen has a smaller house where they do, well, smaller plays. *g* It's called "TIL".
I actually prefered those productions to those in the big house lately.
They did a great version of "Die Glasmenagerie", too.

I actually use an excerpt from the Glasmenagerie for my auditions (Tom)...

so what are you auditioning for in the next months?
I'll be auditioning at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart in July...
It's sooo difficult to get a university place in acting in Germany. When I read this board it always occurs to me that soooo many people in the USA visit a drama school.
Well, I won't give up! :)

I am so disgusted....in todays Desert Sun is a whole article on the World Cup, and the various cities the games are in, and what there is to see there. Now, Munich is my second favorite city after Rome, and I have been to Munich many times.
Here is what is listed:
Alte Pinothek (I totally agree)
Glockenspiel (I agree but the description was "statues that move")
and.....AND....Hofbrauhaus.....EEK, WHAT CRAP IS THIS? Why would I go to a restaurant with BAD food, and filled with American and Japanese tourists pretending to be Germans???? There are so many better restaurants.
What about these sites:
Frauenkirche
Residenz
Marienplatz
Asam Kirche (how could ANYONE miss this?)
Englischer Garten
The four "tors" to the city
Nymphenburg
Schleissheim (the three palaces, old, new, and Lustheim)
Church of St. Peter (one of the best views of the city at the top)
Tomb of Ludwig II (in St. Michels)
Dallmayr (nothing like getting lunch and taking it outside)
and for those interested:
Olympic Staium and Village
BMW World HQ
Bavarian Air Museum (next to Schleissheim)
Hofbrau house? HAH!
