It's Spain vs Netherlands and it's bound to be an exciting match. Post thoughts, predictions and anything else soccer related here.
Netherlands has been "my" European team since the beginning, but I don't think I'll ever be a Van Persie fan.
And although I am not inclined to say this kind of thing often, the Dutch coach is a total fox.
Not a lot of good chances so far (76th minute), except for that Robben breakaway that Casillas somehow managed to get his foot on, and that point blank shot by David Villa that was deflected on the line by a Dutch defender.
Oh, there's a near header by Sergio Ramos on a corner kick.
I picked Spain before the tournament started, but then switched allegiance to Germany. I'm cheering for the Netherlands in the final.

What a boring final! The second half/overtime fared better than the first. Glad to see Spain won though!
After the dirty way Holland played in the first half Spain deserved to win - and the best team won in the end!
It's like New Years Eve here in London - partying in the streets, on the tube, in the pubs, in hotel lobbies. It's quite fun.
Well, that game was a bit of a letdown, but Spain is a deserving champion. FIFA needs to clean up the game regarding the diving and whining by the players. They need more officials on the field, and they need to review more games, particularly for diving.
Enrique Iglesias said he would go water skiing naked if Spain won.

It was pretty boring but the Dutch was so dirty that I'm glad that Spain won. The octopus was correct again.
I wouldn't have been upset if Netherlands won, however, as soon as Xabi Alonso was kicked in the chest, it was on! Furia Roja all the way. Very happy Spain won. Casillas was so emotional, it was adorable.
That Jackie Chan kick to the chest was unreal. My partner and I watched the game from a tapas bar in Chicago surrounded by Spaniards. We drank loads of sangria and had a wonderful time. He was just a little sad he wasn't home to enjoy the celebrations in Spain.
Mister Matt, I watched it at my friend's house with tons of his family around and eventho we're Mexican, the sangria and paella was flowing! LOL
