So, let me get this straight - you are calling Congressman Lewis and Frank liars, because they cannot prove with video tape what happened to them and what they witnessed first hand? There were witnesses who validated what was heard? That is enough to convict in a court of law.

Barney Frank has been caught in other lies. No reason to believe he's lying about this.

Let's just be honest, liberals would love nothing better than to stike the Tea Party a death blow. Do you really think if this happened, the video wouldn't be all over the news for weeks and weeks? The media is dealing with made up news here. Do you really think that someone wouldn't attempt to claim Breitbart's $100,000 offer?

I don't know Goth. It depends who has the film. I would guess if someone on the left had it it would be disclosed. If it was someone on the right or in the tea party, I would suspect it would not be released.

Poor Shirley's tape was not edited. Bless her heart, she made egregious, racist comments. Accept that. Believe that.

Oh dear. You haven't seen the whole tape? Everyone in the know has. Breitbart first released the opening portion of the tape. It was great. poor Shirley is a mess.

Interesting opinions there posing as facts Goth. So, you go on and believe your opinions to be facts.

I think the tea party does the GOP more harm than good. I think there are going to be a couple of races that the GOP will lose because of the tea party candidates. I think that secretly some on the Dem side of the aisle like it because it divides the GOP.

And, FWIW, I think while there is a racist element to the Tea Party, its roots are in Ron Paul and a dash of libertarianism. There have been racists signs at rallies, but that is by a minority of its members. I don't think the Tea Party is a racist organization, I just think that some of it members happen to be racists.

But, again, back to your opinion stated as fact. Nice work if you can get it. And, I don't know Congressman Carson. I know congressman Lewis. Heath Schuler also heard the it. I believe them. You do not.

I do not drop and run. There are so many of you shouting so many things that I can't respond to everyone. I generally try to ignore the people that refuse to digest the facts that I put out there. I don't mind an intelligent discussion, but there are too many people on this board that drop & run themselves.

The Bush National Guard issue is not as comparable. Rather did that right before an election with the intention of swaying the election. When it was investigated, his sources were very sketchy. He ran with a lie that a few smart bloggers were able to immediately debunk (the typing of the memo in its time period). Rather and Mapes were paid millions to do their job properly. If they couldn't find their own researchers that could determine fact from fiction, then they shouldn't be in their jobs.

As was stated in another thread by CountA, Fox News did not broadcast the Sherrod story until after she was fired. Someone in the Obama administration made a knee-jerk decision which, despite the liberal media trying to do, can't be blamed on Fox News or the GOP or anyone other than the person who fired Ms. Sherrod. As a public figure, Ms. Sherrod should assume that she is always being filmed. She should have shared her "Come to Jesus" moment only with people she knew were not filming her.

"The Republican National Committee will invite Andrew Breitbart to its rescheduled "big donor" fundraiser in Southern California, which had been set to feature the conservative columnist and online-media mogul, along with numerous California Republican politicians.

The fundraiser, planned for Aug. 12-14 in Beverly Hills, was postponed last week, a fact that was reported over the weekend by CNN, Politico and others and which led commentators to speculate that Mr. Breitbart had been dropped over the Shirley Sherrod fuss.

However, an RNC spokesman told The Washington Times on Sunday evening that Mr. Breitbart would be welcome at the event, set for after Labor Day."

Shhesh. I can't even imagine the outrage if Dan Rather, fresh off getting caught with doctored Bush National Guard Paperwork had decided to headline a DNC fundraiser...
