Members vote in their own category- (Writers for writers directors for directors) Xcept for best pic where all the membership votes- SO if a significant # of each category is already voting for CRASH - well, do the math-

Well yes, but clearly an equally significant portion also voted for the writers who adapted Brokeback. So your math means zip right now.

CYE has a script - it's only partially improvised. As much as I love that - I have a hard time believing it beat Arrested Development!

sabre--that is how the nominations are voted, but for the actual awards, everyone votes on everything.
