Why aren't these old Nick shows on DVD yet? I need my Salute Your Shorts!

Wow!! I'll say he's hot...love's me the balding boys! I actually went to school with Klea Scott, and she is VERY cool, an awesome actress, and one of the most beautiful women I think I've ever seen. Great site!

I remember the title of the show, but I don't remember the actual show. I think it was just a little after my time...

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

I definitely enjoyed YCDTOTV, but Dangermouse & The Third Eye were my absolute favorites on Nickelodeon. I still like to randomly say, "Oooh, crikey, Dangermouse!
It's hot and it's monotonous. I want my glasses.

Oh MY GAWD! The Third Eye??!! Jeez, that was back when Nickelodeon would go off the air at 6pm. Thanks for the nostalgia blast!

re: You Can't Do That on Television

Anyone remember a time when they would show these 'serials'?

Basically, they were kinda like a miniseries...five half hour episodes shown from Monday-Friday.

My favorite was INTO THE LABYRINTH starring the original Fagin, Ron Moody, as Rothgo.

I esp loved the old "laugh-in" rip off using the lockers... Being shut up in your locker now that was high school!

re: You Can't Do That on Television

Alanis Morisette???

re: You Can't Do That on Television

Yup I remember Alanis. She was one of the younger performers & did get slimed freq. She worked well w Moose.
Am I the only person who really thinks that is a cool nickname for a girl?(no sarcasm)

re: You Can't Do That on Television

You KNOW i'm chiming in. Alaisdair is totally cute now.

I felt bad for Christine, because they called her Moose, which basically says "Hey, you're fat and ugly!"

I loved when they'd say "This is the introduction to the opposite sketches..."

re: You Can't Do That on Television

As a kid, I didn't realize that Les Lye actually played all the adult male parts on the show. It took me years to realize that Barth was Ross was Dad was the Nazi guard was the executioner was the doctor.

But even I could tell the librarian and Mom was the same woman.

re: You Can't Do That on Television

My sister once got stuck on a locker when we were reinacting the locker sketches. I just remember being terrified that she was going to be in there forever (I was about 5).
