Ah, the days of Napster.

It was just a matter of time until something like this happened with Youtube. All my favorite sites get lawsuits against them.

orangeskittles haha, brings back memories. Now I pay for songs but the videos I watch on youtube I can't get anywhere else.

Just recently there was an article in the NY Times (I think) about how YouTube is allowing a previously unknown band to acquire a large following through amateur videos of their shows. I've only seen a narrow selection of what's available there, but I think it would be smart of a lot of the copyright owners to find a way to make use of the site rather than fight it.

they should have to remove vids upon request, but they shouldn't have to shut down the site as a whole.
