I've kind of been on this country music kick for some reason. I don't know why...I never listened to it before, but now I'm starting to enjoy certain performers.
I was thinking back to the music video to "Goodbye Earl" from the Dixie Chicks and remembered how funny it was. It's just a really catchy song and the video is too funny. I re-watched it a little while ago and noticed, for the first time, that it's Jane Krakowski playing Wanda. She's really young in the video and is really pretty in it.
I would say that video is one of my favorites.
I also really like the video for "Paper Bag" from Fiona Apple. I love the concept...and I could swear I performed that dance at an audition once.
I also am a fan of the "Love Shack" video by the B-52s, and "The First Cut is the Deepest" from Sheryl Crown.
What are some of yours?
I'm so not a consumer of music videos, but the ones that I think of and remember:
"why does my heart feel so bad?"--Moby. A boy and his dog. Makes me cry.
"on the greener side" Michelle Shocked. For the sexy objectification of men;
Those two Robert Palmer videos--for the sexy objectifiction of women. (I know, I know--A gay man's idea of sexy women--make them into robots. Sorry, Rath.)

these are my faveorite music videos of ALL time. You should ebjoy them all, especially Bjorks. Well, the second Bjork one is more for the song rather than the video.

have you got the video to an early song she did called bear or something... i remember me and my bro watching that and laughing constantly... certainly "unique"! Dawn French did a sketch about it and it was hilarious!
I liked the "Lady Marmalade" Moulin Rouge video a lot. And, of course, any MJ vids from the '80s. But I'm not much of a music video person.

It is supposed to be funny, but she sounds so cool in it.
The video for Jeremy by Pearl Jam is truly astonishing.

BG107- In the backround music of "caught A Light Sneeze" tori is singing "Inana" really high. It was a goddess of beauty and love or something. The girl of the song has lost herself to many people and she is trying to get as much of hersel back as possible. If that means she has to call on "Inana" to "evoke a little ass" then she will do it. This is all that Tori has said herself...very interesting actually.
Oh! Haha, I was listening to the background thinking that's what you might be referring to, but I was unsure. I never knew that's what she was saying. Really interesting...
I really like the video for "The Scientist" by Coldplay. It's all backwards. To make it look like the singer was singing while walking forwards, they had to film him walking forwards and lypsynching the lyrics backwards.
"Come On Over Baby" by Christina Aguilera
No, I'm not joking.

Don't forget Fatboy Slim's "Praise You"
Spike got community dancers SO DOWN!
Gotta agree with Jeremy.
Also
"Walk the Way" with Run DMC and Aerosmith.
Aerosmith's "Janie's got a gun."
"Waterfalls" by TLC.
I have not watched much lately, so I cannot speak for newer stuff.
"Mr. Brightside" by The Killers. Cause it reminds me of Moulin Rouge. YAY

The video for Yo La Tengo's SUGARCUBE is excellent.
Off the top of my head, 'Mr. Brightside', Moby's 'We are all made of stars', The Smashing Pumpkins' 'Tonight, Tonight', GNR's 'November Rain'... I guess I like my music videos to be theatrical and costly and I remember them better if they're full of cameos.
My favorite of the moment, Feist's "1234"

I was enamored with basically every single Duran Duran video back in the day. I would run home from school hoping to catch the latest one! They were so slick and stunning, with the candy colors, the exotic locations and the gorgeous boys. Rio in particular was beautiful to look at.
Also loved:
Take On Me - a-ha. Really, really revolutionary for its time.
Gypsy - Fleetwood Mac. Stevie crying and singing in the rain, the dancers, the fairy dust and glitter and ballet on the mountaintop. The whole thing was just gorgeous.
Thriller - Michael Jackson. You know you loved it!
Freedom 90 - George Michael. Still one of my favorite songs and I loved the beautiful. lip-synching supermodels!
Vogue, Like a Prayer and Ray of Light - Madonna
Rhythm Nation - Janet Jackson
Walk This Way - Run DMC and Aerosmith. Joe Perry's guitar "breaking the wall" between rap and rock, Steve Tyler's Adidas. What's not to love?
Drive - The Cars. Ric Ocasek wearing sunglasses indoors screaming at Paulina in a mental institution. I have no idea what the video even meant to convey...I was just obsessed with it.
Learn to Fly - The Foo Fighters. Hilarious.
Buddy Holly - Weezer.
Wicked Game - Chris Isaak.

And how could I forget the classic Land of Confusion by Genesis with all of the puppets?! I hated the band, but the video was fabulous.
