Your Favorite Non-Theatre Song of All Time? — Page 2

I have a hard time not listing any Steinman song as anything but a guilty pleasure, but I love a lot of them (including Bat Out Of Hell though I think his failed girl group Pandora's Box and their Original Sin album is the best--as he tends to do he's poached songs from it, like All Coming Back to Me for his later projects).

THis should be a guilty pleasure as well, but the one that comes first to mind is Donna Summer's MacArthur Park. Just disco bliss--Donna and Jimmy Webb are a brilliant match (and I need the 6 minute full version or the Suite--I hate that the radio single version cuts my fave part, the "There'll be another song for me, and I will sing it" bridge).

Ack! It's so hard for me to pick a single favorite anything but I do love the Mamas and the Papas more than just about anything else in the world, and this one of theirs seems to deliver just about everything I like in a song.

Impossible to select one favorite, and my list would be way too long. "Dust in the Wind" would be on that list as well as "Moon River" and several others that have been mentioned already.

Another on my list of favorites would be the song I'm currently listening to at the moment: The Windmills of Your Mind (Dusty Springfield).

Can't say that I have an all time favorite, but if I had to name a few of my favorites, I'd say:
