There was the "Jean De Florette" ode.
I love the episode where Springfield has the Movie Festival and Jon Lovitz as the Critic comes to town...and the Oscar goes to George C. Scott in Man Getting Hit by a Football...FIN.
And I love the episode where Grandpa has a fling with Bea...Embrace Me my Sweet Embraceable You! "I HAVE NO SON!"
And "We Put the Spring in Springfield!"
I am excited for the movie, Variety gave it a great review.
Ooh, that reminds me of the episode where Grandpa "writes" the Itchy and Scratchy episode. Love that one.

The John Waters episode.
The one with Bart doing Rear Window, while Lisa is popular because of the swimming pool and ends with Martin naked singing "The Summer Wind"

Gosh so many great ones...Focusyn, Almost all the Halloween episodes, Marge & the Chanel Suit...
But Bart & the Elephant is probably my favorite. When they are driving trying to find the elephant and the car spins out of control and Homer plows into a concrete deer lawn ornament, prompting this exchange:
Homer: D'OH!
Marge: A deer!
Lisa: A Female deer!
That is the single best piece of dialogue ever.
And I do like the scene later when the elephant rampages through the two political conventions: Democratic slogan: "We mean well, but we just can't govern!" Republican Slogan "We've just plain evil!"

The first 10 years are my favorite, but I stopped buying the DVDs after the 8th season. (I had to own the Homer's Phobia ep)
My favorite ep is the Cape Fear spoof, no doubt. Favorite part of the monorail episode:
Marge: Homer, there's a family of possums in here!
Homer: I call the big one Bitey!
And while I quote the show nonstop, my friend and I have a strange obsession with saying "Dental plan! Lisa needs braces! Dental plan! Lisa needs braces!"
I can't wait for Friday -- MMmmmmmm Simpsonsmovie
same here
more bumps
The monorail episode and the one where Homer has the crayon removed from his brain and realizes who awful the world is for an intelligent person and puts it back in.

"WHACKING DAY!" XD
I also loved the Streetcar one.. come to think of it, pretty much all the musical parodies (inc. the stage version of "Planet of the Apes" and the "Lion King" spoof w/ Itchy and Scratchy). also that two-second moment of Agnes Skinner as Auntie Mame. perfect casting!!
I'm so excited for the movie! I've been a diehard fan since the beginning. Here's my top five favorites.
1. Homer's Enemy- I don't think you can get any better than this one. Frank Grimes, a hardworking man who has lived the hard-knock life, gets a rather pitiful job at the Power Plant in a office directly next door to Homer's. He isn't particularly thrilled with Homer and his antics. In fact, he hates him. It's a real gem from John Swartzwelder
2. Two Bad Neighbors- George H.W. Bush moves across the street and things go a little crazy.
3. King Sized Homer- Homer realizes that if he gains a few extra pounds, he'll be morbidly obese, which means, working at home. However, he learns thatbeing morbidly obese isn't all that it's made out to be.
4. The City of New York VS. Homer Simpson- Homer reluctantly returns to New York to get his car when Barney leaves it there after a drunken excusrsion. He is reluctant due to a bad experience back in the 1970s.
5. A Fish Called Selma- Troy McClure marries Selma to jumpstart his carreer again. This one includes the Planet of the Apes musical.

I like the Camp Krusty episode where the kids take over the camp and Bart becomes the leader and while the kids are away Homer loses weight and gets fit, then when he sees Bart on the TV newsbreak ("Don't be the boy, don't be the boy") he loses his hair and gets fat again. Bart releases the kids from "fat camp" and says "My chunky brothers-- gorge yourselves on the troughs of freedom!" as they raid the food pantry.
I love when Lisa narrates her letter to home("Bart makes it through the days in the belief that Krusty is coming soon") Cut to Bart rocking back in forth in a stupor: "Krusty is coming, Krusty is coming". All the kids are eating gruel and making cheap wallets in a sweatshop. Finally they interrupt Krusty with a phone call during his knighting, he rushes back to the camp and meets with the kids and Bart asks him "How could you?" and he says "Ohh, they drove a dumptruck full of money up to my house! I'm not made of stone! Ohhh!" The episode ends with Krusty taking the kids to Tijuana. Great episode!
The song the kids are forced to sing:
"Hail to thee Kamp Krusty
By the shores of Big Snake Lake...
From your gleaming mess hall
To your hallowed baseball field
To your spic-and-span infermary
Where all our wounds are healed
We will always love Kamp Krusteeeee!"
