OK, let me preface this post by saying:

a) We always go out of town to my mom's for a week for Christmas, which is why we have a small fake tree. If we were here we'd get a big real one. BTW, if I can't log on at my mom's I hope you all have a wonderful holiday, and I'll talk to ya'll next week.

b) I thought the lights would show better because it is dark in the room, but the flash makes it look light in there.

I took this picture with the tree lights on and it looks like the tree is all ghostly!!

...and like it's tipping over. Uh oh.

Wendilin, you can still put up some purely agnostic decorations? Like maybe just some white lights?

I know people who are atheist and agnostic who still decorate. I have plenty of nonreligious decorations on the tree. See.

Eris, that is such a cute ornament!

We don't really have any decorations up yet-- we have the tree up, but no ornaments, because that's something we usually do more on Christmas Eve.

But we made Christmas cookies! Here's my (yes I'm a nerd) Lord Voldemort cookie, rising from the cauldron when he's resurrected at the end of the fourth Harry Potter book.

Thanks. I have so many Cinderella ornaments. About six or seven. I collect Cinderella stuff so they're an easy gift. I have so many ornaments based on characters or movies. Flintstones, Little Women, Wonder Woman, Rudolph, Frosty, Peanuts, Disney, Catwoman, Warner Brothers, Phillies.

Hells, love the ribbons. My mom and I talk about doing that but don't because my brothers would get mad about it being too "girly". Heck, they just about flipped when we shunned garland in favor of red and white beads.

We don't have a single decoration, tree, etc. up this year. Whenever I get my own place, it's going to be like you stepped into Santa's worst nightmare. :)

DJ, why don't you take the initiative and put some little things up? If not around the house, at least in your own space.

I haven't gotten around to taking pics yet. At least not ones I'm happy with. I'll try again later tonight.

This is the tree I set up in my bedroom. Yes, those are My Little Ponies and a shark tree topper.
