Mine is Scrooge with Albert Finney. The ending gets me everytime.
He has just forgiven all his debts, and is dancing down the snowy street and tells the door knocker that they finally made a Merry Christmas. He did all those sweet and generous things in the hopes of saving his friend Jacob! and realizing that he has the rest of his life to make ammends. So love this movie.
Muppet Xmas Carol
Mister Magoo's Christmas Carol
Mickey's Christmas Carol introduced me to the story. i remember being 4 years old seeing my sister's grade put on the show and i was waiting for people to come out looking like the disney characters.
Muppets is also a favorite. i love Miss Piggy as Mrs. Cratchet when she takes the toast to Scrooge like a shot at dinner.
muppets, with scrooged a close second
A CHRISTMAS CAROL with George C. Scott
I can't ever choose between Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol, Mickey's Christmas Carol, and a Muppet Christmas Carol.
I love them all!

A Muppet Christmas Carol, ALL the way.
Well, of the non-real people one, I'd say MR. MAGOO'S CHRISTMAS CAROL.
Is Julie Andrews in that?
MR. MAGOO'S CHRISTMAS CAROL
with an extra helping of rasselberry dressing! yum!
Thankfully NO, Julie Andrews is NOT in MR. MAGOO'S CHRISTMAS CAROL.

I've got 3:
"Muppet Christmas Carol," mostly because of the brilliant stroke of using Gonzo-as-Dickens as the narrator. Love Gonzo & Rizzo in that.
For a "straight" version, the George C. Scott one is my favorite.
And I love Albert Finney's "Scrooge." David Collings is the Cutest Bob Cratchit Ever (with Kermit the Frog 2nd), and "Thank You Very Much" is one of those sticks-in-your-head-forever songs, but my very most favorite part is during the big "Father Christmas" reprise at the end, where the boys are pulling Scrooge on the sled; they stop to watch the bellringers in the street, and the bell-ringing interlude builds up to the point where they're all jumping in unison, then in one stroke, everyone hits the march cadence into the street singing, "In the morning, Christmas morning..." and it's just one of those huge "Why I Love Big Musicals!" moments. ::sigh::
The song, Christmas Carol, from SCROOGE, is one of my favorite songs, ever written. Not a fan of Finney's Scrooge, though.
Edited to say F U to Marquise!
did Julie Andrews sing it?
To Brendan: I say Andrews is the Anti-Christ!
I forgot to mention that I also love THE MUPPETS CHRISTMAS CAROL because Julie Andrews is nowhere in sight.
Not in the film, but she does sing it on THE JULIE ANDREWS HOUR, Christmas Show. I wish I had a copy of that. Must ask mum to bring me a copy when she comes over for Christmas. But, I love the version in the film.
I love Brendan Stryker!
I just needed to get that off my chest!
Has Julie ever starred in any version of A CHRISTMAS CAROL?
Are you drunk?
He's drunk on love for me!
i dunno...
that's a good question...
hold on, lemme check...
Yes I am drunk on love for Brendan Stryker. He intoxicates me.
My favorite is the one with Kelsey Grammer and Jesse L. Martin. The Muppet's Christmas Carol is a close second.
