"I also love just going into the Time Warner center and watching the stars change colors in time to the Christmas music."
Oh, I can't believe I totally forgot about that. When I went to school nearby, I used to go every day!

I always know it's Christmas when they dust off that Elizabeth Taylor "these have always brought me luck" White Diamonds commercial.

I cover that on my site. For restaurant tips and coverage go to http://www.corinescorner.com
My favorite NYC event is the Thanksgiving Parade and you can watch a few videos on my site.

Posted: 11/29/09 at 8:40pmI know it's Christmas when the super mops the hallway and hoses down the stoop for the first time since last December.

Posted: 11/29/09 at 9:40pmSo, my better half is coming in this weekend and staying through Christmas. We're SO broke that we're only going to spend one day in the city. We've got 3:45 reservations with friends, so that will grab a big chunk. If you only had one day very little money and not THAT many hours, what would you do?

Posted: 11/29/09 at 9:43pmIf weather permits, I like walking around looking at the lights and store windows and such. It's free, and you can always grab a coffee or hot chocolate and walk around with it.

Posted: 11/29/09 at 9:47pmI'm with Jane. The store windows never get old for me, and they're all on 5th Ave (except Macy's and Barney's, I guess).

Posted: 11/29/09 at 9:52pmOh Christmassy! We've never been able to be in the same place for the holidays before and I just love the City. I just usually let someone else drag me around.

Posted: 11/29/09 at 9:53pmAgreed with the just walking around and looking at different window displays and places like Bryant Park. I've done it 2 years in a row and really did not spend a dime.

Posted: 11/29/09 at 9:56pmIs Bryant Park nice during the day or do you have to see it at night? I've never been and was thinking of visiting it next week when I am in the city.

Posted: 11/29/09 at 10:03pmBryant Park can be fun in the daytime just watching the skaters, I guess!

Posted: 11/29/09 at 10:39pmYeah, there are also little holiday kiosks set up too that have some really cool items in them. Some of it isn't outrageously expensive either. But again, some of it is just neat to look at.
