also...your posts and PM's to me are definately not being done to FAQ standards, and are being passed on to the moderators.

Since you do not know how to communicate as an adult, I suggest you learn, or it is possible you will not be allowed to post. No one here has to deal with foul and harrassing language.

Elphaba:

I am a good teacher, when I am in the classroom and with my kids I am a total professional. This, however, is a message board.

I am not quite sure what you are trying to insinuate with your posts? Can teachers not have a warped sense of humor? Can teachers not be "teachers" all the time? Do teachers have to be perfect?

I guess we differ on what and who a teacher is. For me, and to the enjoyment of my colleagues and students, a teacher is someone passionate about learning and tries to encourage that in students by getting on their level and making it accessible. A teacher is not a saint, a teacher is not perfect.

This thread was started in jest and almost everyone who responded, you being the standout exception, recognized the humor. Sorry we have different senses of humor.

And in the future, if you see a thread begun by me just ignore it as I will ignore threads and posts by you, that way your little world will remain safe and secure in your hermetically sealed jar of morality.

children, I can't tell you how many PM's I have received THANKING me for my posts on this issue, and calling you out on it. Your post was insulting by its title your PM's and posts to me were insulting, rude, used foul language, and were NOT what we expect of adults here, which is why they were removed. If you are going to post inappropriately, or in a manner which bothers people, expect to be called on it, or find another board, as you will alienate everyone here. If you can't run with the big dogs....stay the heck on the porch. I and anyone else will respond to any post we choose to, and if the opinion differs from yours be man enough to accept that.
If you make a ton of sex posts and people tease or comment on that face, DEAL WITH IT....rather then turn into what you usually do when you don't like what people said about you.

Believe me, I've had my share of comments on my posts, and I don't go postal....I just deal with it.

end of subject for me. I suggest we agree to disagree.

sorry, telling someone their thread title is offensive to people is not thread-jacking.....at least not on this planet.

your actions on this board yesterday were anything but those of a professional OR an adult

and apparently you don't know how to let things go in an adult manner when given the chance...

fine, vent on........I'm done with this......

awww,

either you have to have the last word, or
a glutton for punishment,
or just not bright,
or don't know how to let things go.

anyway, you're ignored.......

(what that means, just in case you DON'T get it, is I've added you to my ignore list.....so I can't see your ridiculous posts. LIFE IS GOOD!"

I recognized a bad attempt at humor, I think, which you then did not have the coutesy to change once you found it offended some on the Board.

You my dear either try to intentionally piss people off, or are so insensitive to reactions of others that you do not even recognize when you have offended.

If you had "paper or plastic" or "brie or smoked gouda" or even "Tostitos or Lays" people would have been fine.

But for those of us who are Jewish, who may have lost family and relatives, what you did compare it to was not in the least bit funny. Or witty. Or thoughtful. Or humorous.

I think that a huge part of the problem is that C&A is one of those people who subscribes to the philosophy that "it's only a message board" and that there aren't any "real" people or relationships behind the screen names.

If you don't what your questions answered, then don't ask them. When you respond as you do, it just further demnostrates why many of us on this Board think you are neither an adult or a decent teacher.

I try to take you seriously and provide thoughtful respectful answers, often times when I think you do not merit them, because I am attempting to play nice with the other "children" on this Board.

Perhaps you need to find another sandbox and just leave the rest of us alone.

I am growing very weary of you.

Didn't watch it as I'm still recovering from the Bette Midler episode. Everything was fine, until that audience member had to start singing, "Wind Beneath My Wings" and then everyone joined in. Truly pathetic.

Dottie:
Almost as bad as when they sang "I'm So Glad We Had This Time Together" to Carol Burnett.

(I threw up in my mouth a little after that one)

Noooo, I must have missed that one. The Wind Beneath My Wings episode just reeked of, "look at me, look at me, pay attention to meeeee!!"
