 Jan 15 2026, 12:12:58 PM

I was over this show when they didn't bump Donna Vivino up to full-time Jersey.

Surprised it might be Sean Samuels since he just joined the cast in June 2025.

I wish Nick Rashad Burroughs had the opportunity to join the Broadway company as Toulouse Lautrec.  I saw him on tour in 2023 and he was excellent in the role.

HAMILTON Principal Cast Replacements

Edred is wonderful as Hamilton.  I saw him numerous times on tour 2018 and 2019.  Surprised his engagement isn't longer.  Out of all the Hamilton's I've seen, he's definitely my favorite.

Trey Curtis announced on IG in December that he was departing the show.  He was out the last time I saw the show two years ago. Bryson Bruce played Hamilton that day.  I liked him.  Trey had been with the Broadway company for 2 years, so I'm t

I saw the tour in DC and walked out during intermission. It was pure garbage.

Any word how Lauren Blackman did as Mother yesterday?  She went on for both performances yesterday.  Not sure about today.

TLC Musical, New Adaptations of DAMN YANKEES and PAL JOEY Will Play Arena Stage
 Nov 8 2025, 10:38:39 AM

What an enjoyable evening! I saw this production before they officially opened. I liked it the first time, but liked it much more last night even with some missing ensemble members.

Ana Villafañe's performance has grown. I wasn't a fan the first time around.

Joe Hardy is a perfect role for Jordan Donica. His voice!!! Loved his, "And now your Joe...."

Rob McClure's performance seemed the same. He was good.

The show is on for tonight as the box office issued me a standing room ticket in exchange for last night's canceled performance.

I bought a last-minute standing room ticket to last night's performance.  The Lola understudy was listed as going on, as well as a swing for one of the baseball players.  At 8:10 the communications manager came out and announced that they had to cancel the performance due to cast injuries.  Not sure how they didn't know this before they opened the house.  It'll be interesting to see if they'll be able to play their remaining performances as the show closes

I saw this last night, and although I enjoyed it, I don't think a transfer would fare well. There was no need to tinker with the book or the order of songs. The one change I didn't mind was changing the Washington Senators to the Baltimore Orioles.

What I liked. Jordan Donica. What a voice and perfectly cast as Joe Hardy. The choreography was fun. He had great chemistry with Brionha Marie (Meg). The baseball players were excellent. I enjoyed the pre-opening of Act 2. Rob

What did Michael Bennett think of the “A Chorus Line” film?

I thought the movie was hideous. Such a wasted opportunity. It made me dislike Alyson Reed. If anything needs to be made again, it's this.

I saw on Instagram that Nicci Claspell was brought in with 2 hours notice yesterday to play Satine. She previously played Nini on tour, and a brief stint with the Broadway company late last year.

There is nothing wrong with the scores of their shows.  The score to Smash was its strongest suit.

Kimberly Akimbo tour
 Jun 2 2025, 03:51:06 PM

The Kimberly Akimbo tour ended it's 2 week run at The National Theatre yesterday.  I saw it Thursday evening and absolutely loved it.

I played the lottery 4 times and won one time.  Great seat - 8th row center orchestra on the aisle.  What puzzles me is that there were a lot of empty seats, yet tickets for this production did not appear on TodayTix and there wasn't a rush policy in place.  I tried the lottery again for Sunday, but didn't win. Usuall

Leslie Odom, Jr. to return to HAMILTON for limited rin
 Apr 16 2025, 09:53:23 AM

I have nothing against Leslie Odom, Jr.  I just didn't particularly care for the performance he gave on the filmed version of the show.  It was very different from what I remember him doing when I saw Hamilton in person.  That being said, I prefer Joshua Henry's and Nicholas Christopher's take on Aaron Burr.

SMASH Previews
 Mar 26 2025, 08:47:20 AM

I haven't seen Smash yet, and not sure if I will.  I was thinking, could the writing from the original series be copyrighted so that they more or less had to start from scratch with the Broadway incarnation?
