dang, i wish i could work a purse, i'd totally get that velvet underground banana bag!
my last few avas have been warhols. i've seen these bags up close and i don't care for the canvas or the "cut-out" treatment. you can get them at URBAN OUTFITTERS.
They are like 20 bucks at Urban...atleast they were like two weeks ago. The totes...not the banana bag. I do have a vinyl caution tape one from last season...big, clunky, from the guy's section because I always over pack.
I wish there was a Mickey Mouse inspired one...

Between this and Audrey Hepburn plastered all over my local GAP, I am unsure how I feel. While it celebrates the artist and the actress, it still rings a little false and slightly tacky. I'm just conflicted, not attacking the campaigns. I just get a little weirded out when companies license the heck out of a person or their art after they pass. It seems a little bit wrong.

i can understand that, but i think anything that encourages people to listen to the velvet underground is a good thing.
As much as I love the graphic tees at Hot Topic and the always friendly staff, the store in general kinda pisses me off. Most kids who shop there are so convinced that they are unique and that society is evil...when they are shopping 3 stores down from Abercrombie and Fitch. At least preps are honest about their conformity.
i dont know anyone who shops at hot topic who thinks they are unique for shopping there... that's such a misconception. i do however know plenty of people who shop there beacuse they like the clothes.
I've known PLENTY of people who thought they were unique for shopping there. My brother was one of them for years.
I agree--I love their shirts and the pins they always have in bins on the counter. Plus the staff at Hot Topic is always the friendliest of any store in the mall.
around here the people who think they are so unique are the too skinny chicks with the big sunglasses
edit: it's really funny to watch them take myspace pictures at the mall with their cell phones.
Since I'm a slightly zaftig chick with big sunglasses, does that make me unique?
haha it does in hartford county.
i wear alot of black and listen to panic! at the disco and thursday. does that make me unique where you are?
and do you and your friends make kissy faces at the camera in the middle of the ****in hallway so no one can get by you? *grumbles* lol
I'm a working woman, but no. College kids tend not to do silly things like that. We just threw things at each other in the hallways of the fine arts building. Things like shoes, conducting batons, and Snapple caps
lmao.
yeah it's mostly the high school kids around here who just *have* to take a myspace picture whenever the mood strikes them.
some of them refer to themselves as "scene kids". they have a game with "scene points" where they earn points by doing things like going to concerts and lose points by listening to bands that everyone else doesn't deem "cool"
i think i have like -328238423749 scene points.
i was told once that i lose one every time i listen to a song by dave matthews. i lost alot today.
