And the messiah's minions are accusing John McCain of cheating at the Saddleback debate.
I know it's hard for Obama to answer boilerplate questions like "What's your position on abortion?" (His answer: It's above my pay grade). But that doesn't mean he should accuse others of cheating.

The question wasn't "What's your position on abortion?", it was "When does life begin?".

hey, hate the messengers all ya want, but the facts don't change just because ya don't like who's saying them: he lied when he accused others of lying.

Actually the question you refer to Goth was "When does an embryo have human rights?" to which Obama replied "That's above my pay grade." And, inasmuch as that question is answerable only by the Supreme court (or the supreme being, if you're so inclined) he's right.
McCain said "Conception" which is not only legally wrong but incorrect by my reading of the bible. So can an embryo sue it's mom for smoking or drinking during pregnancy?

Oh sorry. I guess "When does life begin" is a tough question. It seems Obama wasn't smart enough to know. Maybe Warren should have dumbed it down for him.
Life begins:
a) at conception
b) when the doctor spanks your butt
c) when you smoke your first doobie
d) when you see LuPone Gypsy

It should be against the law to inject abortion into politics.

no.
actually, the exact wording was: at what point does a baby get human rights in your view?
the correct answer to that is of course, once it is born.
he didn't ask about an embryo, or at what point life begins. he asked when a baby gets human rights.

no, it makes perfect sense, because in mccain's mind the moment of conception imbues that new life with human rights. and yes, joe, if a woman can sue mickey d's for the coffee being too hot then a child who is born with complications that can be directly traced to proven negligence by the mother, then that child should be allowed to sue. if you can sue a chemical plant for causing birth defects because they put toxins in an environment, then you should be able to sue a mother for doing the same thing.

God created Adam & Eve. They were not humans when God thought of creating them. They were not human when he created their bodies- they were human when he breathed life into them.
Sorry Pape- no more thread jack. How the hell did I get into a biblical debate anyway?

Well if the kid can launch a suit before the statute of limitations runs out- what when he's 6 years 3 month old? An idea like this might bring John Edwards out of retirement....

"God created Adam & Eve. They were not humans when God thought of creating them. They were not human when he created their bodies- they were human when he breathed life into them."
Neither Adam or Eve were placed in the womb.
Then He goes on to say:
"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee" Jeremiah 1:5
God created a soul and expected it to be born.
This doesn't even cover the many ancient Jewish sources that say abortion is wrong.

Wow. Remember when there was a separation of church and state?
Ah, nostalgia.

Uh...Goth...you left out a little something in that verse from Jeremiah.
Jeremiah was speaking specifically about himself. It doesn't in any way say that this applies to everyone else. If we're to take all of Jeremiah 1:5 as literal and being applicable to everyone...shouldn't we all be considered prophets as well?
Here's Jeremiah 1:5 in total.
“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” (New Living Translation)

Let's suppose McCain wins. Where will you be then, Papa M ? Will you still be on BWW's off-topic board praising McCain's every move? Obama would be a dead horse, so there would be no use in blasting him anymore.
Do you have other interests besides blasting Dems? At least for now you seem to be focused on that.
